Every city has its bright side and dark side. this #sixwordstory was inspired by my trainer, Pedro - who was trying to finding affordable housing in the city and his attempt to come up with a 6 word story; the work of my amazing and trailblazing friend Dr. @shanamalmeida (check out her phenomenal work); my own advocacy work around the radicalization of poverty, poverty reduction and social justice and City of Toronto’s tag line “Diversity, our strength.” Toronto is home but it is not perfect - to only speak of joyful experiences would be a lie.
