Throwing this in your inbox because reasons: but I Very much agree that Anya's relationships with her parents >>>>>>> TwiYor. I may ship TwiYor hardcore, but at the end of the day, their relationship with their daughter is what makes the story and their relationship with each other wouldn't exist without her.
Yeah! I mean they're relationships of different dynamic; twiyor HAS to have angst at some point, especially right after identity reveals, where doubt and mistrust may appear between them, and the story can stand perfectly even if they never become involved romantically. But Anya's relationships with them individually and together are what makes the story shine. They're relationships that Anya has a lot of agency in, and there's just so much bright joy in Anya feeling safe and protected and cared for and Loid and Yor making it their priority for her to feel this way, to give her the safety they didn't get to have as kids.
The need for a mother for Anya's interview is what brought Loid and Yor together practically, and their shared goal of giving her a happy future is what brings them together emotionally. It's how they express the caring parts of themselves that the other falls for.
And Anya by herself has so much control and agency in the story that it will be an outright crime if the twiyor romance gets more focus than Anya's relationships with them, as much as I ship twiyor too. She plays a vital role in the story and their development and all of her own choice. She wants to be part of the story, she knows what gains and what dangers it poses her, and does her best to adapt and help and be a good girl! She's an active member of the story and deserves all the focus she's getting and more!
Yeah I'm getting a bit emotional over how well Endo has established a kid character as a main character in a story while still keeping her as a kid, and I hope that continues in his writing in giving her the focus and development she deserves.

Breaking Free (Isn't free) by RachelLyseBrook
Papillon has discovered Chat Noir’s secret identity.
By sheer luck, Adrien manages to escape the mansion and akumatization, Plagg providing him an out while snatching up something precious to Gabriel Agreste. Adrien crashes onto a familiar balcony and begs Marinette for help, almost revealing his identity in the process.
Distraught over her partner’s predicament, Marinette swears that Chat won’t be alone in this. That she will move heaven and earth to keep him safe.
But neither of them realize just how difficult Papillon was going to make this for them.
Run👏 a 👏way👏 Adrien!!! Gabriel does a chat blanc on Adrien (beat him within an inch of his life after learning he’s chat noir) and he books it. Adrien’s trama and Gabriel trying to avoid a scene are the only thing keeping the HM identity under wraps.
Also asks the question, how legal is Adrien’s work for Gabriel? What are his hours? (Are surprise photo shoots and missing class part of his contract? Do other underage models deal with this kind of thing?)
Adventures in emancipation and Adrien trying to prove to the court he can be self sufficient.
Uh, warning?: There are remanente of chameleon, I wouldn’t quite call it “chameleon salt” but you can see the imprints of salt in how it was written you know? Just in case for people who are really over that. Also random French and “ravenette”, I know those are turnoffs for a lot of people.

Ever since Nino's (frankly embarrassing) akumatization into Rocketear, Chat Noir's behavior had taken a strange and sudden turn in the presence of Carapace, and Nino could only think of one possible explanation:
Chat Noir hated him.
Somehow, Adrien didn't seem to agree.

Fanfiction WIPs game: emotional, patience s, and/or sunshine ☺️
Post identity reveal, pre-relationship wip:
They’d kissed, once, before they’d found out about each other. It had actually been more like her grabbing him in an emotional outburst and sucking at his lips with hers than anything else. But he’d hesitantly responded to it, and for days after he’d looked like his entire world had been turned upside down. Now, he was almost shaking as he sat beside her and slowly lowered his body down, resting his head on her lap as she guided him to.
From the big self-indulgent whump wip that will be completed and shared who knows when:
Twelve days into his capture, Twilight finally saw something change in [placeholder name]. Like his patience had been slowly running out, and then, like a switch, he leaned back on his chair and smiled wearily. “Tough nut. You’re sure you’re not Twilight?”
"Sunshine" only appears in some notes for a fic that may not be actually used on the fic, unless I divide it into chapters and title them with those notes:
But you alone glow like sunshine
Send me a word, if it’s in my wip document I’ll answer your ask with the sentence that it appears in!
Has anyone sent you Bond!?!?!
You did! Just now!
First impression: Fluff! Big boy!
Impression now: BESTEST BOI BOND T_T hug him and give him love and care forever please.
Favorite moment:
The welcome in the Forger house, when presented back-to-back with his painful flashbacks, is so sweet and wholesome and rewarding, knowing what this poor creature has gone through, and now he has a home. With everyone giving him warm smiles and Anya nuzzling up with him, you couldn't ask for a better conclusion for the Doggy Crisis arc. It shows how much heart this story has and how it prioritizes the hope and the good in the world. That despite the pain and suffering and the evil intentions of some people, there's still good and love that needs to be protected, that the world can be a peaceful place where everyone can smile and feel safe and loved. Don't mind me I'm getting a bit emotional here 🥲
Idea for a story: I want him and Anya to go chasing something. Maybe bugs or worms or something. I think it would be fun for both of them. I also shared an angsty thing yesterday which... I may or may not have started writing? It won't be a long fic if I even publish it but yeah.
Unpopular opinion: Mmm I don't know what's unpopular about him? I don't know if that fits here but maybe the fact that he's the most... "open" member of the Forger family. Like, his power of precognition isn't really a "secret" because he cannot truly communicate it that he has it. And he always acts on what he sees to prevent bad things from happening, so he doesn't have the concept of keeping his power a secret. It's just that other people, aside from Anya, have no hope of knowing it. And because of that, he's the one member of the family who can show his love the most openly. So maybe he'll become the connecting link for everyone among the chaos and anger and doubt after all the identities are revealed.
Favorite relationship: Bond and Anya best duo ever.
Favorite headcanon: He fully considers Franky a part of the family, he just thinks Franky happens to live at a different house. Similarly, though with a little more reserve, for Yuri.
Send me a character!
Choose violence ask game: worst blorbofication? and what's a character no one really likes but you do and why?
I'm not in the Star Wars fandom or the Harry Pοtter fandoms, so I don't have first-hand experience with fans of Kylo Ren and Severus Snape, but from what I've seen they're the first that come to mind in manner of "THIS is your blorbo? THIS DUDE??" Kylo Ren is an immature, unstable supremacist who is most inappropriate to be in any position of power, and the way fans are only presenting him as a "poow misundewstood boyyyy" is... ew. And then Rise of Skywalker came and redeemed him because why by the way and only made it worse, basically accepting all the poor takes.
Now, about Snape, there are far worse things to criticize the franchise and its t*rf of a creator about, but it certainly doesn't help that big-ass youtube channels that pride themselves over being unbiased and open-minded actually support him and think he was a hero all along. And look, I ain't saying he's not an interesting character! He was! As a prideful bigot who should never ever have been allowed to teach kids. Alan Rickman hit the performance out of the park in the movies and unfortunately, that created a problem (not Rickman's fault though) because it made people conflate "well-acted character" with "morally good character" and no. Snape was a bastard with poor priorities and horrible coping methods. His trauma doesn't mean shit when he's made it his life's mission to inflict as much trauma as possible onto his students. His emotional sacrifice in the end doesn't justify or undo the horrible way he treated innocent people around him. His pain over losing Lily doesn't hold any ground when he belittles Harry at any possible chance just because he was the living proof that Lily rejected him.
Anyway, oof, yeah. There may be worse cases out there but these are the ones I can come up with now.
About a character I like but everyone else doesn't... I'm choosing a currently relevant character and it's Nightfall/Fiona from Spy x Family, but listen. I don't "like" like her. I don't root for her goals and I don't support any of her actions she takes towards that goal. I think she is very blinded and biased. I don't want her to end up with Twilight... but I feel she's very interesting in the way of bringing such interesting material into the narrative and giving us an informed view of Twilight, and her bias and obsession actually help towards that. She's the one that confirms to the audience that Twilight's smile hides actual genuine emotion behind it.
She's obsessed enough to have studied Twilight's pretenses and acting enough to notice the real emotion. She's infatuated enough for it to make her jealous. She's self-confident enough for us to know the smile is real, and not her paranoid interpretation that she's "losing" him. Twilight's happiness with the Forger family is something she wants to prevent because she wants him to be happy because of her and only and that competitiveness is what makes her observant enough to notice and emotionally upset enough to point it out for the audience to know for real.
But, at the same time, she genuinely wants him to be happy, because of her, and because he knows the real her. She doesn't want to use tricks to gain his attention and praise, she hasn't even shown to try and change his opinion on Yor by lying about her. Her sabotaging of the relationship comes in the form of exposing Yor's weaknesses, not making up fake ones to trick Twilight into thinking she's less worthy.
Don't get me wrong, as I said, I absolutely do not support her and I don't want her within a ten-mile radius from Yor. But I think there's more in her other than her "Notice me senpai" thing, and there's traits that actually point her towards a redeeming path. She just has to become more aware of the world around her and especially how said world views her. Then maybe she can rearrange her priorities and find ways to be happy that don't depend entirely on Twilight becoming her husband, and hopefully, understand that Twilight's place is within the Forger family, not with her.
So, yeah. I "like" the dynamic she brings into the narrative, I like how she can offer to the audience a side of Twilight that Twilight himself doesn't allow. I don't like her but I like her role in the story.

Regarding BFIF
Due to stress with nonsense IRL, nonsense on Tumblr, other writing things, and lack of productivity, I'm taking a break this week from posting on this story. Should things turn out okay later, I'll post again next Sunday at the earliest.
I'm really sorry guys. I love this story and really want to finish it strong. My stress is just getting in the way. Thanks for being awesome and understanding. I'm going to do my best for you all.
