Articulated better than I could
I AM GENERATION Z
I was born the year the world saw the true face of terror as the towers fell.
I grew up in terror of a world corrupted by the shadow of my ignorant predecessors.
I grew up in a world where being different meant your were the monster under my bed.
I grew up in a world ruled by the devices we held in our hand and in our homes.
I grew up in a world where children would paint with knifes on their skin.
I grew up in a world where women were still ridiculed for their anatomy.
I grew up in a world where your skin defined your fate.
I grew up in a world where people swallowed colourful pills to forget their life.
I grew up in a world where education was gunned down by mad men.
I grew up in a world where we became numb to the violence of reality.
I grew up in a world where monsters despoil the innocence of love and everyone turned a blind eye.
I grew up in a world of children hiding in closets in fear of rejection.
I grew up in a world full of hate and misery for one another.
I grew up in a world torn by the inequality of justice.
I grew up in a world where you have to bend to the will of society.
I am generation Z and I will not go down without a fight
this is one of my short poems about my world to realise my anger from it, The is one of many and until this world changed I won’t either.

This chauvinism serves a purpose. To paraphrase legal scholar Ian Haney López and author Heather McGhee, reactionary solidarity functions as a “plutocrat’s scythe”: a way economic and political elites weaponize a wide range of resentments and fears to harvest obscene wealth and power.

Building solidarity requires resources, vision, and a willingness to dig in for the long haul.

Black American GIs stationed in Britain during the war were given a warm welcome by their hosts but treated harshly by their white US Army comrades.
The Confederate Flag, Racist or Heritage?
The Confederate Flag, Racist or Heritage?
There is a lot of discussion about the Confederate Flag; whether it represents racism or heritage. But, considering it from a rational logical stand point, we can see through the feelings and determine it’s actual meaning.
We will look at both sides of the argument. The view that the flag represents racism and the view that the flag represents southern heritage. Then, like always, we will…
