Just finished “The Count of Monte Cristo” on audiobook. Thoughts below the break.
First of all, this took me at least 3-4 months to get through. 46 hours of audio narrated by the excellent John Lee (Dr. Cid in FFXII for example).
What a story. Just what a story. Everything from beginning to end, from Edmond’s bliss to his greatest despair and how everything was Keikaku Doori on his revenge was brilliant. All of the characters were well written and was bliss on my ears to listen to.
I’ve been at a point where I was driven to despair and I fully relate with the Count’s experiences, though to not that degree. Though I’m not nearly rich or smart enough to enact any sort of revenge for myself.
There’s more on my mind but I can’t quite put it into words. Seriously, I love this book and everything associated with it. I want to know more and embrace the other forms of media related to this fantastic tale.
stream is much smoother now that we have longer play segments where characters get to actually interact between loads!! it's been such a good time so far and it just keeps getting better. so happy this is happening <3
“I am done tweaking and adjusting it. c:”
krinkels finished the character panels... i’m in love i want to have at least eight of these in my home.
shoutout to people in long-term long-distance relationships. especially those of us that cant see them often. especially those of us that have only seen them a few times, for just a few days. shoutout to people that have felt the horror, grief, guilt of forgetting their skin, smell, walk, warmth. shoutout to people whose throats tighten every night, wondering if you'll ever hold them again. shoutout to people grieving the time that feels wasted or lost. shoutout to the tears and blood and sweat and love you spend every day.
happy birthday to me <3 updated my bio
