Setting: BAaT
~~~
Vyrnnus leaves the issue two groups over, making a beeline for Rhys and his group. Barely with time to peek at Rahna, who is clearly exhausted, and Alenko, whose concern is as great as his own, Rhys steps to the side, a move that draws the turian’s stern gaze immediately. “Shepard,” he all but growls disdainfully, invading Rhys’ personal space. It’s all he can do to stay where he is.
Swallowing tightly, Rhys stares over his shoulder in the distance, a trick his father taught him when he was small. “My fault, sir.” Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Rahna visibly shaking, though whether that’s from the turian’s presence or the stress of the morning’s exercise, he cannot say.
The sneer is a sound Rhys hopes he never gets used to. He hasn’t met many turians other than the few that Conatix brought in to teach them. At this point, he hopes to never run into another as long as he lives. But for the moment he holds his ground, stares straight ahead, and prays the commander simply forces him to skip a meal.
