☔️The Magick of Rain☔️

Nothing is more soothing than listening to the sound of rain on a dark October evening, remembering that rain is just as much a part of the wilderness as anything else.

There is great value in being exposed to the elements more often. We spend much of our lives in climate-controlled shelters, and can sometimes forget the symphony of a rainstorm on our tent, the beauty of silver raindrops jumping out of the lake, the excitement of a cloudburst from nowhere, and how quickly we dry out.

According to an old woodsman's adage "No matter how cold and wet you are, you're always warm and dry." If not warm and dry, perhaps we find that we are less uncomfortable than expected…and more appreciative of the sun when it shines.

Hey y'all, unconscious magick is real.

(especially with songs amd words you casually sing and say)

It's been sunny and with an open and clear sky for many days now. But then, I listened to "Clear" by Taylor Swift yesterday, and have been humming and singing it today all day long.

And girl, let me tell you: It was very sunny just after noon, and then all of a sudden this huge grey cloud came and now there's a waterfall outside my window.

This is what I mean when I say that songs are a really great form of magick, because you're chanting and putting emotions in whatever you're saying, even if you don't really connect with the lyrics atm.

I once told a signifcant other that I was a weather witch, to which he responded “then make this damn storm go away”. I didn’t realize it at the time, but that statement made me doubt myself because I knew that’s not how it worked, but I couldn’t explain it. I felt defeated because of a tiny, stupid statement. It made me doubt my abilities, my beliefs, my intentions, and for what? Because he didn’t believe in me. He thought the idea was silly, so his reaction was to joke about it. Maybe it was gaslighting? Maybe he just thought I was crazy. Who knows.

Long story short, never let someone else undermine you and make you feel invalid.
