As soon as Phil tripped on the stairway his mind whirred into action. He wasn’t worried about himself though instead more about the tiny boy who had been sitting in his hands. If he fell on him it would be...bad, to say the least.
As quickly as he could Phil wrapped his other hand around Tommy and pulled him close to his chest. His nose slammed against the floor with a painful thump but his pain-hazed mind could only focus on whether or not the teen was okay.
“Fuck fuck Tommy are you alright?”
The boy groaned from his hand while Phil checked him for any injuries. When he could only find a small bruise from where Phil’s hands had squeezed just a little too tight he let out a sigh of relief.
“Yeah I’m fine big man but uh...” Tommy laughed sadly, “Your nose looks like shit.”
Phil blinked at him as he brought his hand up to his nose. It ached horribly and when his hand pulled away a patch of blood cane with it.
“Oh shit,” Phil groaned, “Probably broke it.”
Tommy ushered for Phil to come closer and looked up at the human’s nose. He carefully touched the sides of it before wrapping his body around it like a hug. The soft weight of the teen was made Phil happier than he’d like to admit.
“I’m sorry Phil,” Tommy whispered after a moment.
Phil sighed and pushed his hand against the boy. His nose ached at the pressure but he wouldn’t give up the affection for the world.
“Don’t worry Tommy it’s okay,” he whispered, “I’m just glad you’re safe.”
