Am replaying ME 2 and the Matriarch asari bartender aethryta (?) on Illium and her cynical life wisdom is so precious :) I have no point, I am just excited and wanted to talk about her! “The blue of my ass” is a great saying.

Matriarch Aethyta is full of surprises :D 

“When I started talking about making new mass relays ourselves, they laughed the blue off my ass. So now I serve drinks.”

The idiom is great, and I’ve always thought her idea about relays was fascinating. Probably something that will have an impact in future installments of the franchise (if we do get them...). 

Btw, have you seen her in the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC or in ME3?

Hey bud your defence is pure bullshit. Don’t know about the others on the list, but the only major terrorist attack that has occurred in Québec recently was 2017′s mosque shooting. And the Québec law is very transparently religious persecution, considering it’s not even just niqabs that are banned, but wearing a hijab, chador, turban, kippah, tichel... etc. That you’re including Québec’s Bill 21 as a defence of France’s actions is really gross. 

Additionally, funny how France continues to let nuns slide under the radar when it comes to policing women’s clothing...

from what i read no one has given a reason as to why she’s leaving. and judging from her instagram and twitter posts she seems sad to go and that it wasn’t her decision to leave :(

@njadastonearm - Thank you for your message! It’s looking better on the job front. Basically my contract was coming to a close and they as good as promised me the job but at the very last minute HR said somebody from ‘redeployment’ had to take priority over somebody who has been doing to the job for over a year. Luckily they’ve pulled out their application and things are looking positive again - won’t get confirmation until after interviews though of course. 

@rainbowxunicorn - I would love to! Life is probably much simpler when all you have to deal with is dragons and mudcrabs! I’m being really, really stupid and buying a really, really expensive laptop this weekend. I might actually be able to mod it for once. 

Sorry I had to reply to you both like this though, unfortunately I only have tumblr mobile for the meanwhile or the rare chance to borrow my partner’s PC and now xkit is no longer a thing it’s pretty terrible anyway.

I am curious; which (minor) NPC in the mass effect universe sparks your interest and would you like to see more of? And what kind of quest would you like to see with their character?

Aaaah, that’s a great question!! 

Gianna Parasini: I can easily see her as a bonus squadmate and LI for Shepard

Mouse: Bonus squadmate in a mission with Thane because he’s basically Thane’s son and I can’t understand why they didn’t do more with him

Khalisah: I’m firmly in the “don’t joke about punching her” camp and genuinely love her. I would love to see a more “no b&w, more shades of grey” quest showing how the media can be used to help the war effort. Same with Diana, tbh. 

Ann Bryson: I know she had a whole DLC but I would gladly do another mission with her, especially with James around. 

And in Mass Effect Andromeda, it’s obviously the most beautiful sniper from Voeld, aka Orev. Squadmate, a full mission, bickering, LI, I would accept it all!!!!

Dutch the barman because I love him and can’t get enough of him. 

And not sure how minor but: Tann because a more complex Nexus mission would be fun; Kandros so he can meet Sloane again which would make me VERY happy and Kaetus so I can have all the Sloane x Kaetus content I want :)

10/10! The villain to hero trope I would die for to see. Also: the strangers Shepard can help and they are just citizens but they are inspired to do good. And so they help in their own way; by providing food for the army, healing the sick, inventing new safety mechanisms. The war against the Reapers was a group effort and I stan everyone that helped. Also I want a “losers who got their ass kicked by shepard” t-shirt, okay I’ll shut up now lol :)

Yeah, this so much. Because Shepard couldn’t have done it alone but they’re also a huge source of inspiration & strength. 

(I do think most citizens would have helped the war effort, Shepard or no Shepard, but the timing mattered a lot)

Oh those are great answers! I have a horrible memory, so I had to look up to even remember any NPC's. I would like a romance subplot with Charr and Sha'ira giving Shepard love advice/training. And a undercover noir journalism spy detective story with Emily Wong, Khalisah and Adrien Victus. And a prequel of Mordin falling asleep to Captain Kirrahe's speeches, lol. Also I want a background shenanigans origin story of Glyph. Featuring Aria & Nyreen.
