What happened between dream and awsamdude on ur au called my childhood necromancer friend?

Behold, their first meeting!

A lot of backstory of this Dream is not stated in the original rivals series so I will do a bit of lore drop here! Basically, after the rivals' separation in their childhood, Dream was taken in by XD cultist (who may or may not run the original care system the rivals are in but we will touch on that some day later).

The cultists use ancient cities as their bases of operation and the wardens are a species tailored to serve them. Hence, I guess you can say that it is written in Sam's code to worship Dream, even though there are a lot of personal reason behind Sam's simpage loyalty. After Dream's departure, the ancient cities basically undergo the Cargo Cult Effect, continuing to develop and carry out rituals in hope that their lord will come back to them.

Been wondering this for like two days now, which of your au’s with Dreamnoblade are romantic and which are platonic?

Rest assured that I usually tag them accordingly! If it is dnb, it will be tagged as dnb, if it is platonic, it will be tagged as rivalsduo!

How dream and techno met on the au called my childhood necromancer friend? 🤔

They are both orphans in the same care system! They are roomates too if you want more details. Dream first met Techno when he is skipping class (Techno entered the system after Dream) and they hit off eventually!

I am having a difficult time deciding which au is my favorite, syndicate dream was at the top but now with all this new stuff childhood Necromancer Is getting very close 🥰🥰🥰

How would your version of C!Dream(the one you had interact with TVNAT!Dream) react to meeting incubus Dream?

I believe he wouldn’t have minded incubus Dream as long as he isn’t interrupted. He doesn’t quite understand what incubus dream is taking about though.

Will there ever be a point where syndicate!Dream snaps and yells at someone and then shuts down in some way later? Cause I remember you mentioning at one point that this AU’s version of Dream doesn’t talk in fear of being put back in Pandora’s vault

I like to imagine his anger/panic is silent. Sometimes, he lost control of himself and jump into fight-or-flight because he is reliving the prison mentally.

He gets extra jumpy and will jump you. Usually by exhausting himself, he will be able to regain some senses.

How would TVNAT!Dream react to getting a boop on the nose? Since I think you said before he doesn’t process people trying to be friends normally due to genuine kindness alluding him. How would he react to a simple boop on the nose or other displays of affection?

His perception is largely affected by who he is interacting with. If you are someone he remembers being kind to him (ie Techno/Punz) then you will mostly get away with a lot of things. The opposite though, is an entirely different story.

Scared to ask(not it’s a fluffy question) but uh…how would syndicate!Dream react to Techno scratching him behind the ears(or head scratchies in general)

Never be scared to ask! I love receiving asks about my AUs and it has been really quiet recently haha.

Anyways, his ears are ticklish but because you are Techno, he would probably just hit you repeatedly with his ears.
