Vriska did not need to pack much, so she didn’t. She took with her an old sword she hadn’t used in sweeps, her dice, and of course her clothes, and happily took the transportalizer to the hive of her new friend, not thinking for a second on how to come back.

She appeared in the study, as per the coordinates, and, upon meeting with him, bowed slightly and beamed. It was nice to tower over people. “See?” she said, pointing at her fins and eyes, “fuchsia. Just like the troll ordered.” 

And then she started to see the rest of the room, and she began to cough. Ugh! Seriously? Smoking when you were having guests over--royal guests, on top of it? Vriska waved her hand about to waft the smoke out of her face. “Now, just to be clear. You are... well, nuts. I don’t know your name, but you’re the guy that thought I was fake, right?”

Misera peeked around the doorway of Perein’s respiteblock. He had not brought anything with him, seeing as ultimately it would be useless. It was his off-hours, whether Perein wanted him to be or not; so he chose not to wear his jacket. 

“Your orders are peculiar,” he sneered, hoping to surprise him. He was still thinking about his earlier comment. “But I suppose I can’t say no to you. Although, to be honest, I don’t think you must have ever gotten into a real fight, so I wonder how fair this would be to you.” Of course it should have all the scales tipped in Perein’s favour, of course, but Misera thought if he was going to invite him to hurt him, then he would do his very best to ensure the scales did not matter.

Misera did not think he liked the close proximity that the rumpus room forced them into. He preferred eating at the dining table, after Perein was done, so that Misera had space to be himself. Unfortunately, he was a slave to his own hubris, and was now relegated to the end of the loungeplank, beside Perein, with his empty plate of what was once a remarkably edible omelette atop the table in front of them. When Misera was feeling better, he would take them out of the room. Maybe even clean them.

No. He’d make Perein do that. He had the authority now, being weakened.

For now, he just looked over Perein, and against his better judgement, hoped he wouldn’t decide he was done and leave. “It is only you, so it’s not as if it’s a difficult task most days, but you should really think of getting more servants,” he said. “In the event that I’m injured, which is this present event, you are impressively incapable of even the simplest of tasks.”
