Sonic Forces is out today! The game has a character-creator but no lizards or bugs! :O So Frack and Rale found their way into the Sonic universe in another way, thanks to the artwork of Blossom_fur7 on Twitter! :D Please enjoy.
How are you feeling about Julian Gale now that we've met him?
It’s still too early to tell how exactly Gale’s characterwill play out in the long run but for now I’m enjoying what he’s bringing tothe table. I loved the different side ofRessler he brought out. While his guardwas up around his old partner for obvious reasons you could still see the oldconnection and camaraderie there. Theplayful banter was enjoyable between Gale and Ressler while they waited for thereconstruction of Fowler’s living room. And the mere fact that Gale calls Ressler, “Don” and “Donnie” whileeveryone else in his life currently calls him Ressler speaks volumes to how helives his life now to how he lived it then. I’m really curious to see how this relationship with Gale plays out withRessler.
I know some people have been questioning just how Gale waspart of the Reddington Task Force when Ressler told Cooper back in Mako Tanidathat besides Sam Raimo and Pete Maquire it was only himself and Bobby Jonica onthe task force back then. I think thereare a few ways to reconcile that. The obviousis yes, Gale is a new addition and was not thought of when Mako waswritten. But, I’ve always thought it wasrather foolish to think in five years only 4 agents only ever chasedReddington. This is just myopinion. So, here’s my thought. When Resssler said that Cooper he was sayingthat at that time, when they were going after Mako Tanida to get afterReddington that was that was involved. Because we know now, from that phone conversation with Ressler that Galehad to step back from the Bureau for a bit. And what I find a bit curious is inthat beginning scene with Gale after he orders everyone out, he squats downthen looks upwards for a moment while saying quietly “I’m sorry.” Then hesniffles and looks straight ahead and says. “This is all my fault.” I hope we find out who exactly he’s apologizing too as (I don’t think it was in general to the all corpses) I thinkGale either suffered some kind of breakdown due to a loss or just had to take aleave of absence. Maybe he lost apartner due to his chasing Reddington or lost a loved one. I’m not sure, but what you can very clearlytell is that his drive is very personal. Emotional driven. He’s not justgoing after Reddington because he’s a criminal. I feel like there a loss ofsome sort due to his time on the Task Force that caused him to take a stepaway. I’m not a theorist by any means. Ijust enjoy this show. So, I’m notclaiming any of this to be the word on Gale. Just my observations. I am really looking forward to learning moreabout what this emotional drive is though. And how it will affect Ressler. And I’m really hoping for more Ressler backstory. I know a lot of people are still worriedabout what this means for Ressler but I feel like Gale brought a freshness tothe show on Thursday and new breath in to Ressler. I don’t think he’s around to replace Resslerat all. Or for the actor to take an arcfrom Diego. And if the promos and promopics are any indication, next week is going to be one hell of a ride forRessler.
I hope that answered your question without too muchrambling, anon. And thanks for stoppingby. I don’t get many visitors.
