Next Tuesday is my wife’s birthday 🎂 Happy Birthday to my wife~ Making seaweed soup, it's tradition to eat this dish on your birthday and you can make it all types of ways but my mom makes tuna so I'm making it with tuna too. ^^ It's super easy! You will need: dried seaweed, 3 bulbs of garlic (or to your taste), 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon oyster sauce (optional) and one can tuna (or your own choice)and about 800ml water 1. Soak a handful of dried seaweed in water for around 30 minutes 2. Cook chopped garlic in sesame oil in pot on medium-low heat, be careful sesame oil burns easily! 3. Drain seaweed and add to pot, mix well. Chop into smaller pieces if needed. 4. Add soy sauce mix well and then add oyster sauce making sure to mix again. 5. Add your tuna and then water and turn heat up high and bring to a boil 6. When it boils you'll see some foam come to the surface, make sure to remove. When you don't see any more foam turn heat to medium and let simmer for about 1 hour and then make sure to taste. Add water if it tastes too strong and add soy sauce if you want more flavor. The longer you simmer the better it tastes but you can eat after 1 hour. Note: popular combinations of other meat to try are beef & shrimp OR oyster & shrimp Enjoy~! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . . . . .
