about zoey/your portrayal: you have put SO much thought and depth into zoey, you took the modest amount of information we were given to work with and built out into a complex beautiful web of history and connections and you really manage to make her feel so REAL. i am also so in love with the way you have her working on like, social justice and queer causes and that's just such a cool unique thing to bring to the character, and also it fits so well all things considered??? it's super cool, and i love that it's part of how our cornturtle happened <33

about YOU: i'm picking more than on and no one can stop me. i love a lot of things about you tbh. i love your creativity: your writing and your art are both incredible, i adore your style for both, tiny angry zoey lives rent free in my head forever. i love your sense of humor, i do think you're hilarious, and kinda goofy, and that's awesome, i have so much fun with you. i love how much you care about people, and how big your heart is. you've been a big part of my life since we met, and idk, it might be easier for me to list things i don't love??? you're just lowkey super awesome, and so important to me, and tl;dr i love YOU.

Rose perched atop the roof and looked out over the city. Boredom had hit her hard so she snuck out of the house and took to the roofs. Flying was a no go. The lights were too bright and buildings too high. A winged creature flying in the night sky would be too noticeable.

So she took on her other form. Fox like ears twitching on the side of her head. Her tail swaying behind her as she watched the giant screen advertise the Huntr/X’s new song. She nodded her head along with the music. She’d already run a good amount. Chilling here wouldn’t be bad.

Mira couldn't help but blink for a second, briefly glancing down at the much shorter woman as she considered what Zoey was saying. On the one hand, this could just be something that she was just repeating from somewhere else that she'd heard, but it could also be another one of her discarded and random thoughts. Neither of which Mira minded, of course, holding Zoey closer to her with her arm around the other with a fondly amused little chuckle through her nose.

Whether it was a thought or a parroted phrase, it did get Mira thinking... if that was true, what did that mean for the demons that they'd slain before? What did the Saja Boys represent in that idea? She would hate to know what Abby and Romance revealed about her in this frame of mind.

But either way, she did have a thought, smirking at Zoey with an eyebrow quirked slightly up at her adorably chaotic girlfriend. "So, does that mean that if it wasn't for the Honmoon that we would have had to figure out how to basically solve racism to stop the demons from hunting people?"

The nightclub was warm open and welcoming. Men danced with women and purple florescent lights danced across the floor with pictures of highroll dice on side Six and king cards sliding across the floor in a patern.

Music boomed to a beat till his eyes settled on her. Purple slits beneath the sunglasses he wore as a deep grin formed on his face. He knew a demon hunter when he saw one. And this one was specifically in here for a reason. And he could take a guess or two as to why. His sharp teeth exposed as he chuckled.

"What brings you here?" He asked as he tilted his head. Acting as if he didn't know why she was there. Fingers tapping playfully against the countertop of the bar." Drink? The dancing? Music?" He hummed with amusement.

Jinu could feel the disturbance in the Honmun—maybe because his soul was attached to it, maybe because his demonic nature was calling out. Either way, he followed the pull deep into the park.

Something this significant should have been visible by now. Demons leave traces: tears in the Honmun's fabric, a foul stench where they pass. Yet, he could detect none of that. What was going on?

His instincts screamed a warning. Then he heard it: the clash of battle. His feet carried him off the main trail toward the sound. But before he could reach the seething pile of crawling demons, one dropped onto him from the trees above, its claws tearing into his shoulder.

The battle ahead didn't stop, but he had his own problems now. He was unarmed, and he knew this breed of creature all too well: Gwi-Ma's foot soldiers. Zero brains, razor-sharp claws, and a grotesque taste for blood. It had already caught his scent, and it wouldn't stop hunting until it had a taste.

A glimpse ahead revealed Zoey fighting dozens of them. Couldn't she miss a shot and hit this one with one of those fancy daggers? How was he supposed to kill this thing? The only thing that could truly kill a demon was a hunter's weapon. Damn.

It didn't give him time to think, lunging again with claws ready to rip his heart out. He only had time to sidestep, hoping to evade the attack. Suddenly, a warm energy embraced him. He felt weightless, light as a feather. When he opened his eyes, actual light swirled around him like a shield—thin, colorful lines dancing across his body.

The demon let out a hateful growl and fled—an utterly unusual behavior that made Jinu frown. He stared at his own hands as the strings of light seemed to retreat to where they came from: deep inside him.

"What th—"

Zoey! Fuck.

The fight was over. The demons were gone, leaving only stirred dirt and the hunter herself, slumped against a tree, bloody and exhausted.

He frowned at her accusation. "It would be smarter to just leave you here until you bleed out." How many times would he have to prove himself? Jinu knelt with a heavy breath, pulling her arm around his shoulder and flinching at the pain from his own wound. "Let's get you out of here first. We can argue later."

He couldn't really blame her; there was no way she could've known the effect her words would've had on him. But the very minute she was done speaking, his lips curled into a wicked snarl. "Careful what you wish for, Zoey." He growled into her ear and, before she could say anything to protest, he'd teleported the two of them to her bedroom.

And just like she asked him to, he had her bent forward onto the mattress. "Are you absolutely certain this is what you want?" Because poor Mystery was barely able to hold back even now. Once she gave him permission... There'd be no stopping him without force.
