Randa Markos illegally upkicks Luana Pinheiro. Pinheiro gets DQ win.

First off, Pinheiro looked pretty good. Strong, powerful if not wild. Cracked Markos good a few times and hit a nice head and arm throw TD. But once there, Markos throws an upkick from guard to push Pinheiro back but kicks her in the face.

personally I think those upkicks should be legal but they’re not. So Markos can’t be mad at taking the L.

Mackenzie Dern armbars Randa Markos in the first round!

Dern does the impossible and hands Markos her first back to back loss of her career. Dern threw a body kick so hard she went to her back. Markos followed her for some reason. From there, Dern managed to sweep via omaplata. Got to mount and hit an armbar. To Markos’ credit, she didn’t tap. She fought it off for a while before Dern finally secured the angle and got the tap.

Two in a row for Dern.

Randa Markos armbar Angela Hill in the 1st!

Easily the best performance of Randa Markos’ MMA career. She was able to get Hill down from the clinch and force a back take by grabbing the bottom wrist from half guard. From there she was able to hit a gorgeous transition for the armbar. After a bit of resistance from Hill, Markos is able to untangle the arm for the tap. These are the type of performances i thought Markos would be able to give us coming off TUF but we finally got it. Great showing
