Success came when “Happy” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot R&B charts. “Supa Star” ~ Group Home #TBT… From their 1995 album, “Livin’ Proof.” Rappers James Heath and Jamal Felder aka Lil’ Dap and Melachi the Nutcracker, came to fame initially as members of the Gang Starr Foundation. One album in and then BOOM!!!… DJ Premier produced this track. In 95’ this was the joint. When the instrumental hit the speakers, heads started nodding. Twenty plus years later… It’s definitely one of those beats that rocks just as much today as it did then… 📻💿🎤
