“So is that it, baby?” Bradley asks sweetly, cooing softly into Jake’s ear. “You’re in my clothes, in my bed, in my dreams. Does that make you mine?”
A soft whine comes from Jake. “Yes,” he says shakily. The grip on Bradley’s wrist tightens.
“Now, are you mine tomorrow, too? Are you mine at 11:40 a.m. next Wednesday? Or are you just mine for the night?”
all i ever wanna say is 'are you mine?' by thegeckbros
i adore sappy poetic possessive Rooster with all of my heart
(whenever i come across works with such wording, i’ve always translating it in Vietnamese with difference pronounces between the 2 characters. We have more than just I - you, you - me. One of the most enjoyable things when i do these translation is to decide which pair of pronounces should i use, because essentially they are all I - you in English, these are just SOME of them (the combination is endless, sometime i literally spend like a good few days just to make my decision on this)
- gã - em
- gã - cậu
- tôi - em
- tôi - cậu
- hắn - em
(all of the above pairs seriously provoke possessiveness and playful nature, which i most use for my translation, because i really have a fixation on this dynamic)
- anh - em (the most basic and somehow, my least used)
- chú - em (age gap my beloved)
As for Hangster, with the headcannon of Rooster being quite older and is the oldest in the squad, while Hangman is the youngest. I find myself loving refer Rooster by ‘gã’ when 3rd pov and ‘tôi’ when he is talking with Jake and Hangman as ‘em’ most of the time. The sense of underlying authority of an older man with his brat younger lover?
(but the inability to prevent myself from cringing whenever i read explicit content my mother language has made me question my sanity)
“Giờ thì, em vẫn sẽ thuộc về tôi vào ngày mai chứ? Vậy em có về với tôi vào 11:40 sáng thứ tư tuần sau không? Hay em chỉ là của tôi vào những đêm muộn?”
