1d12 Mildly Cursed Items
1. Sword that deals a small amount of extra damage, but also gives its wielder the hiccups. 2. Gauntlets that slightly increase the wearer’s strength. The wearer always goes for a high five when someone goes for a fist bump, and vice versa. 3. Amulet that lets the wearer hover a foot off the ground for ten minutes a day. After hovering, the wearer smells of brussels sprouts for the rest of the day. 4. Mace that deals magical damage but gives the wielder frequent hangnails. 5. Ring of warding, which gives a small boost to the wearer’s armor, but gives them the irresistible urge to cheat at card games. 6. Bow that aims true—its chance to hit is slightly increased. Things that begin with the letter Z are immune to arrows shot by this bow. 7. Helm of water breathing. When not in water its wearer has constant cravings for seafood. 8. Boots that make the wearer run a bit faster, but make them slower at reading. 9. Shield that can catch an arrow once per day. Once caught, the arrow animates and hovers at the wielder’s shoulder for the duration of the fight, offering unhelpful tactical advice. 10. Cloak that slightly increases the potency of the wearer’s spells, but always clashes with the rest of their outfit. 11. Flaming dagger that deals fire damage, but also sings catchy songs about fire. 12. Toe ring that gives a small bonus to the wearer’s abilities in persuasion and seduction. This bonus is only effective if the wearer’s feet are otherwise bare.
