pappa has random moments of profound wisdom so here's something he told me recently:

You can't pick a 100 battles and hope to win. You can however, pick 1 war and plan to win that. Even if you lose a battle then, it doesn't matter because you can win the war.

and I really felt like a lot of us needed to hear that.
