Logan have you considered the Yerks-Dotson Curve in relation to anxiety’s effects? Perhaps keeping Anxiety like this would cause Thomas to go to the far end of the curve, causing Thomas to not fear anything and making him not listen to Logic based in reasonable fear. Idk, I just don’t want Thomas to get hurt or do something stupid because Anxiety isn’t there.
Logan quirked an eyebrow, before pulling up research on the topic and looking through it curiously.
“It certainly is an interesting theory. Though, currently all signs point to Anxiety’s effect lying more on the far end of the scale. The way he obsesses over Thomas’s previous actions, relentlessly tears down other’s contributions, and increases our host’s panic and impulsivity seems like clear examples of ‘bad stress.’
“In fact, it’s possible that keeping Anxiety at this size, and by extension this level of power, we’ve traveled backwards on the curve, back into the ‘good stress’ side of the curve. We’ll only be certain with further observation.” Logan added the image to his notes, jotting down a few sentences. “An excellent chart, but I suspect it isn’t making the point you want it to make.”
Remembering Anxiety’s presence in the room, he glanced over to see that the tiny side was still hidden in the bed, emanating a tense silence. He cleared his throat awkwardly, and then tapped his finger to his desk, activating the soundproofing function on the glass box.
There. That was more comfortable for both of them.
@randommuffinyt said: Logan! Roman! You can't seriously leave him alone with nothing to do except get watched all day! That's horrible and that could freak him out! Why dont you give him music that he LIKES to listen to, puzzles to do, or painting and/or drawing supplies? Painting and drawing are perfect ways to express yourself and not be destructive.
“I suppose stimulation is required, isn’t it?” Logan pushed his chair back, leaving Virgil’s box in its default state and standing to leave the room.
Puzzles, he could do, but if they wanted high quality manifestations of tiny art and music supplies, Roman was the clear choice. He’d have to pay him another visit.
