14 and 15: my favorite and least favorite word?

I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it is to answer that, Anne. 😂 I tend not to think about words themselves as being pleasant or not to articulate. It’s more about the concepts behind the words that I have qualms or not. :)

I honestly couldn’t come up with an answer. I tried to think about words that I don’t like pronouncing but couldn’t come up with any, sorry! :)

49: the most magical place on earth? 

Another hard one. there are many places that I still want to go to but they look/sound magical. Whenever I watch Hawaii 5-0 I get that feeling. I would LOVE to go to Hawaii one day. The places I’ve been to that I loved are in Japan and the United States, two of my favorite travel destinations.

Yeah, that scene was pretty ???. They do have a queer main(ish) character (Ambrose), but idk why they thought that scene in the mines was OK.

It’s sad cause I expected a lot better from a show that’s so feminist and, apparently, has so much queer representation!

30. whats your favorite candle scent? 

I have a noisetier dyptique candle I really like, but I like the fruitier ones from Anthropologie. I AM REALLY BAD AT BEING SPECIFIC. I don’t know whether you’ve noticed /o\

41. top 10 favorite songs

OH GOD. GO AWAY. Fireproof, Girl From Mars. That bit in Underworld’s Dawn of Eden from the Frankenstein soundtrack where you imagine the monster waking up for the first time and seeing the beauty of the world and it crescendos and crescendos and I have WEPT whilst listening to it and there’s no justification for it other than sometimes the world is beautiful and maybe we need reminding of that. That moment in Brassed Off where Pete Postlethwaite is in hospital and the band play outside and you know he’s never going to get better but he loves music so much, and that music makes me sob. That bit in infinity and the bit in I Bet My Life where they bet on each other and the bit in Lighthouse where they pick each other. The endless intro to Baba O’Reilly. The intro to Pompeii. The whole of New Perspective. I don’t know. Bits of songs find their way into my soul and stay there. 

49. what was the last compliment you received?

I just got a very nice comment about that I Had Rather snippet I just posted, but I also got compliments on my lipstick today. :)

errrrrrr. Only Hate The Road was supposed to end later, when Louis was a teacher and Liam was famous and they were trying to balance two different lives and Louis was trying to shrug off being a teacher after work so he could be Liam’s boyfriend on the red carpet at The Brits, but that’s not really an alternative ending, that’s more... I stopped at a better point. I Had Rather had an epilogue at Louis’s mum’s that I cut, but I’m repurposing that for the sequel. There was a point in Easy As All That when I wanted to make it Liam/Harry/Nick, and it would have been easy for Liam to say enough is enough to Louis at that point in the story, and to start being gently and carefully looked after and appreciated and loved by Nick and Harry. I couldn’t have broken Louis’s heart though, so I can’t even tell you about it because it means leaving him alone. 

L:What's the weirdest AU you've ever come up with?

Don’t know whether it’s the weirdest, but there are AUs I’ve chosen not to write because the plot I wanted to write was too extreme - the homeless AU I started to post but won’t ever finish (I have 45k of that /o\), the Louis eating disorder AU, and the single parent AU which was the first time I wrote about Milo and Isadora, who I liked so much I wrote into a different story (Gave My Heart Out) because I didn’t want to leave them in this story I couldn’t ever write and post. 

And V I just did :)

7:Book you laughed the hardest reading?

Oddly, Will Greenwood’s autobiography remains one of the only books I’ve ever read where I both laughed and cried in public whilst reading. Molesworth remains brilliantly entertaining, as do parts of Discworld. 

8:Which book character(s) do you most relate to?

Penelope in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton books, maybe? Anne Elliot? Margot and Len and Con Maynard, a bit of each. Sybil Bettany. Maybe Caroline from the Lorna Hill books. IDK. 

27:Do you reread books?

ALL THE TIME. ALL THE TIME. I would much rather reread something I enjoyed than read something just because it was new.

58:  Favourite weather?

Hands down my favourite kind of weather is when it’s snowing up a storm. Just thick snow flakes twirling down and it’s cold enough so it sticks and the whole world is a beautiful white. Second favourite is probably gloomy grey and rainy. 

62:  What makes you happy?

Wow, Anne, going deep XD What makes me happy? Little things like fresh sheets on the bed, a good cup of tea and finding really awesome new music. My friends and family make me insanely happy - unless they don’t, but I still love them always. Fandom makes me happy, seeing all the creative works people on the internet can come up with around said fandoms makes me incredibly happy. I am a sucker for fanworks. Related to that: lgbt representation (canon or fanon) makes me incredibly happy. Food! Food is a big happy maker for me.

8 (What was your biggest achievement of the year?)-- Oh, this is a hard one. Probably being much better with my depression and also going “Hey, this situation that just happened would have made me feel suicidal two years ago and I feel okay now!”

15 (What did you get really, really, really excited about?)-- Um EVERYTHING? :D I get excited a lot. I guess I was pretty excited for my trip to Gettysburg for my anniversary with my partner cause we’d never gone on a trip together before and it was a lot of fun! I also got excited about dogs a lot throughout the year.

24 (What was the best book you read?)-- Definitely The Kingkiller Chronicles. The Name of the Wind is soo good. I’m excited for the movie :D Plus I think there’s supposed to be a TV series coming too?
