Anybody else get overwhelmed at decisions till they almost puke or is it just me??

At the Library)#my holds weren’t ready #I hate browsing #literally anywhere #clothes shopping especially #but as I learned yesterday I get it from the library too #I get so overwhelmed with options #it’s like well what do I like #and I either don’t know where anything is or I can’t think of what I like #I remember once my middle school librarian scolded me and my friend because we would pick up books from the shelves #we’d be reading the blurbs and maybe joking and talking about them and putting them back #and she just thought we were planning and putting books back at random #so now I just feel like I can’t look at the books #and I hate taking up space #I feel so big in between the shelves #and I don’t want to ask anybody because then they ask what I want and I have no idea what to tell them #so I just left the library without getting anything #a man held the door for me and I got too in my head about that interaction too #did he leave it open for me because I’m a woman? did my thank you sound right or did I just sound gay?#well now I’m bookless #guess I’ll try writing but I probably won’t get anything done #anxienty

#rant below #but omg #It’s such an important term and topic of discussion and also a genuine concern within our society YES.#but some people are using it in such a pseudo intellectual pretentious way that they’re not even using it correctly anymore #they just wanna act like they’re intellectually superior to others when they’re really just putting down different interpretations and #mindlessly defending their fav media without actually being willing to hear the other out #Like just because I have a different interpretation to you or like or dislike something that doesn’t mean I’m illiterate. What #“Hey I actually think th” “ERMMM WELL MAYBE YOUR MEDIA LITCHRUSSY-🤓🤓🤓🤓” THIS IS HOW YOU SOUND😭#Media literacy is not about what to interpret in a work #And if you’re using the “bad media literacy” argument to slam down well thought out interpretations that just happen to be different #then I think that only goes how ironically enough YOU lack media literacy for not understanding and/or missing the point of the discussion #don’t get me wrong bad media literacy definitely does exist and is a problem #like I’ve genuinely heard some ASS takes that are clearly due to bad media literacy #but they’re not the source of every bad take. God #hell it’s not even just bad takes that get slammed with this label like I said it’s just a difference in opinions #like just because I don’t like your fav it doesn’t mean I don’t understand them or am mischaracterising them??#that also leads into the issue of people defending their favs no matter what and having a weird sense of loyalty to them even if there is #valid crit against them #but that’s a whole can of worms I don’t wanna get into rn #anyways #my post #yapping #yapping in tags #TLDR a genuinely important discussion and term is being turned into a pseudo intellectual buzzword. Hes still around but declining #been taking care of him and my mom #along with working full time #and my boyfriend doing his damndest to keep me busy when Im not helping with dad #which is great except Im so tired #but also I havent been able to sleep much #and I've lost my appetite which apparently is a grief thing I didn't know about #So I've managed to get all the physical grief symptoms and it is taking a fucking toll #so your girl is sleeping in tomorrow and spending the day doing my own little crafts and avoiding people as much as I can #a girl just wants some sleep and a fulfilling snack but all she is being given are slight naps and unappealing food. send help.#anyways after this experience Ive decided that I no longer give any fucks because you only live once so Im just gonna do what I want foreve #and actually live life instead of being constrained by societal standards #after all this is over of course. gotta take care of dad first #also I got to paint the door because he was sick of staring at the porch. so its a lake view now #woooo #yeah so thats my life update for you all #also I saw a girl for the first time in 9 years today who completely changed the tradgetory of my life and didn't know it. so that was fun.#exhausing but fun #also idgaf about spelling right now I am running on caffeine and pure will power atm
