How have you been lately?

Put this off a bit to answer because I’ve been thinking a lot over the last year and well Last year today was the day I was rushed to the ER because my heart went into SVT due to extreme stress and Covid.

This past year has been full of amazing blessing: I got in a relationship with, proposed to, and married my best friend; I got to travel and meet some friends irl that I met online, got to visit some warships, aircraft, and submarines; got so many amazing gifts and met so many amazing people! But a lot of not so good things happened this year too. For the first time ever I actually contemplated suicide after a lot of past trauma resurfaced. I came many realizations about how unhealthy a lot of my past relationships had been and I’ve been struggling to see things as they are- I keep looking through a lens of trauma and fear and it’s been really getting to me in how I see myself and my relationships. I keep thinking that my friends aren’t my friends anymore and hate me. I keep putting blame on myself because it’s easier to feel guilty than to come to terms with how people have hurt me. I was even officially diagnosed with PTSD!

Though I wouldn’t change anything about this past year it has been an uphill battle for the latter end of it and I’ve been struggling to regain my footing. I’m grateful for so many good experiences and things are looking up with treatment for a lot of this past stuff but it doesn’t mean that I’m doing well. I’m hopeful but not well.

With all that being said however I will be taking a break from tumblr, I may still check it but I’m not going to be active for a little while. I love tumblr, the community, and friends I’ve made since I rejoined the mlp ask blog community here but there is also a lot of memories here that I need to work though as well.

yo so some may notice i closwed asks again be it the reason is i have old asks i still  havent answered and i feel if i leave asks open i’ll get distracted and feel more inclined to answer newer asks over older ones. so i want to work my way through the old asks that have been sitting for a little bit. another reason is some asks im still figuring out what to do with a debating on if i should answer them.

though the main reason is that some of the asks in my box right now will give more information on charcoal along with his father so lore??? which i feel might give people ideas on good asks they could give.

though i will give a run down on things i plan to post:

-i have roughly about 13+ posts worth of content based on the asks in my box

-i plan to introduce 2 new characters to the blog however i need to work more on them first so posts may take a hot minute to do because of that

-i plan to try do stand alone art pieces unrelated to asks maybe christmas themed since christmas is coming up

-i also plan to do mistletoe pieces for people to respond to

i have decided however for my benefit that it would be best that i don’t force myself to try answer all asks before i do stand alone pieces so there wont be a chronological order to how i do things it will just be when i feel like it. because theres none mlp stuff i want to draw as well that won’t get posted here but also im looking for a job irl. so i ask that please don’t unfollow if im not active every week. but also if you have a super intresting ask that you want to ask write it down somewhere and keep it in mind for when i open asks again do not dm me letting me know my asks are closed i know their closed.

I had a moment today that had me like this. XD I couldn't not draw it. XD

But if you're curious as to what happened, basically my IRL friend and I were playing Mario Party online and she noticed her BF had gotten off work but couldn't get his location because of something with the Apple iPhone (?). My immediate first thought (and I had to keep myself from saying it out loud) is "he's cheating on you". For the record, I don't think highly of her BF at all. I can get along if I need to, but for reasons I don't fully understand, he makes my blood boil. Maybe I'm just over protective of my childhood friend or maybe I'm seeing red flags she's not seeing cause she literally goes off on tangents a lot about "how no one wants to give him a chance" or "they're always so quick to judge him even though they don't know him" or something to that effect. Yes, I have met them IRL, but they seemed rather standoff-ish. And not that that's necessarily a problem (cause I can be like that too in a new situation), but it seemed kind off considering they knew who I was from phone calls and photos she's shown him of us.

So really, the only question I have for myself is, "Why am I like this?!". Am I jealous as a single Pringle who can't seem to find the happiness I desire? Am I over protective of a childhood friend? Is it just I straight up don't like the guy? Just what is it? Cause I want to be happy for my bestie. Honestly and truly I do. But I can't seem to find it in me to be happy with someone I view as a dirtbag.

Any case, sorry for the rant and thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. XD

Definitely not me replying super late to this.
