My current gripe with Ava's Demon is that I'm really, really not sure which side we're supposed to be on. We should be on Wrathia's side since it's who the protagonist is centered on but she was literally a ruthless conqueror who had entire planets under her belt. If Ava goes through with her plan of enacting her revenge, wouldn't she be acting out the will of a conqueror, colonizer and murderer? We don't know if Wrathia's allies actually respected her or if she took over kingdoms that 'peacefully'. They really only went through with her plan out of self-preservation. I doubt they were actually loyal to someone who literally took over their homes. We can't be on TITAN's side either because they are ALSO colonizers who have probably done way worse damage than Wrathia's regime. But should we be against them simply because they were a bigger conqueror than the previous conqueror??? (I mean obviously yes but it's not enough to justify being on Wrathia's side) I hope by the end of the story this gets addressed and resolved somewhat. Ava comes up with her own agenda to save the galaxy from TITAN, and we can just be on 'Ava's side'.
