Hi everyone! I'm Joyee, representing the red hot Cherokee tribe! I guess some words you could use to describe me are fun-loving, infectious and happy-go-lucky. I'm pretty much your average girl-next-door, appreciative of things like art, craft and not to mention Roald Dahl's works (Matilda, anyone?), but the occasional high and crazy does present itself once in a while under some good and close company. I enjoy dancing, especially contemporary, simply because it is the epitome of beauty and embodiment of expression. I am also a huge Harry Potter fan, which may (or may not) have inextricably led me to develop a curious fascination and love for owls. Do not judge. On a more bizarre note, I do have a few queer (some may deem cool, or absolutely painful) talents, like the ability to place my palm on the ground and twist it 360 degrees, or how my fist can fit into my mouth. Well I don't know how I can still have friends after telling you this, but I know that I treasure each and every one of mine dearly, because who are we without these special people in our lives? -Cherokee

Russell (Sioux)

One look at Russell, and you'll probably realize he bears a striking resemblance to Bee Bee See from The Noose. Next thing you'll realize is that this guy with the ripped body is one sporty dude! Not only is he one hell of a water polo player and swimmer, he is also skilled in Wushu and Thai boxing. So don't you dare get on his nerves, because he can literally kick your ass. Not that he would do that, given his easygoing and pleasant personality that charmed us all. But Russell's definitely not all brawn and no brains, if that's what you're thinking. A former member of the Literary Society, he's able to quote Shakespeare with a snap of his fingers, and also strings words together beautifully in both prose and poetry. In fact, his aptitude with words earned him the title of Mitch (Man Bitch) in his much loved OG, Sioux because he never loses an 'argument' when he turns his bitchy alter ego on! Sounds good? But his merits doesn't just end here! Our dear Russell here is also a domestic god who can whip up a good home-cooked meal! An all-rounded guy who can cook? What's not to love? -Diane & Dionne

When Marinah first introduces herself, not only will the band “Marina and the Diamonds” pop up in your mind instinctively, you will also be immediately drawn in by her cheerful disposition. This little pocketful of sunshine is always on-the-go, cheering people on and blending into social conversations so effortlessly due to her amicable personality. Not forgetting the fact that she works at the popular pancakes café, Strictly Pancakes! Now, that’s a bonus to her awesome factor. So remember guys, to look out for this spunky girl in this year’s Dinner and Dance ’12 pageant, and root for her! -Cheryl

Hi everyone, I'm John. Cheah, just John. Okay I'm sorry that was a bad pun. I have a burning passion for theatre, which is probably why I feel so at home here in WKWSCI. I am currently doing what I love, under brilliant companies like Cake Theatrical Productions and W!LD RICE as an actor. It is both challenging and fulfilling at the same time, and though performances may sometimes be short-lived, the journey and experiences, for me, are priceless and forever. During my spare time, I enjoy the little things in life, like hanging and jamming out with some of my closest friends, without a care in the world. We even have a band called Platonic Pi (yes this π), though how the π came about is a story for another time. Suffice to say, the arts scene is like a personal haven in which I revel in; and the people in my life, angels whom I fiercely love, cherish and care for. - Cherokee

Wei Liang is definitely a heartthrob. He is able to charm ladies with his crafty magic tricks. During FOC, the group members often persuade him to perform his tricks and being the ideal gentlemen, he will enthrall us with his forte. Moreover, he is very polite to everyone, speaking fluently most of the time. One interesting fact that you might want to know about Wei Liang is that he actually opens the car door for the other gender before getting into the car himself. As much as it seems that he is biased towards the opposite sex, Wei Liang is still closer to his male counterparts within the orientation group as seen in various bonding activities such as the "Seven Wonders". Wei Liang is a busy man, he is often caught up with his work outside of school. However, he tries to make time to mingle with his peers such as appearing for suppers or late night chit chat sessions. Apart from that, he hits the gym regularly to ensure that his body is in tip top condition, maintaining his suaveness. All in all, Wei Liang is definitely Apache's Alpha male and the epitome of our gender. - Landis

You may not spot her from afar, but she’ll definitely catch your eye when she’s around. Fun, easy-going and unbelievably cute would be the first few things that pop into your head when you see her. She never seems to have any unglamorous moments despite the frantic snapping of our dear photographers. Not even rolling down the sand into the sea or mid-cheering can catch her in a bad picture. Talk about food and her eyes light up, therefore this is probably the best way to keep her awake. The secret as to how she manages to maintain her figure with her overpowering love for food is through her almost equal love for trekking. Her enthusiasm for exploring has made her the adventurous and independent girl she is. Don’t underestimate her because of her dainty size, as she is definitely a toughie. Overall, she’s all amazing things in one cute petite package, so who would be crazy ugh not to vote for her? -Cheryl How

From his chiseled good looks to his squinty smile, Magnus is sure to charm the girls (and who knows, maybe even guys) right here at WKW’s Dinner and Dance ’12. Besides channeling the vintage vibes with his old school looks, Magnus is also a natural conversation starter with his humor and wit. Besides making people laugh, Magnus also plays the acoustic guitar in his spare time. Oh, I’m sorry, did I forget to mention that he is a rockin’ bassist as well? Now we are really talking about some old school rock n’ roll! Talk about charm and talent, this guy’s a classic! -Cheryl

Ready to enchant you with her poise and elegance, Xiu Xian is in every way your perfect dancer. To complete the package, her dazzling metal smile is sure to sweep you off your feet! This charm is not limited to her attractive physical appearance as she is beautiful inside out. Always ready to welcome you with a warm and loving embrace, Xiu Xian makes such a good friend that she’ll laugh at your jokes even if they’re not funny at all. Her laughter is the best medicine to your daily woes! Despite her undying love for food evident from her chubby cheeks, (check out Ho Xiu Xian on facebook, add her now!), she has managed to maintain an hour-glass figure, leaving guys especially in awe *swoons* Her outgoing personality makes her a hit with a crowd, especially when she is doing her thing on the dance floor. Besides that, Xiu Xian can be trusted to keep your deepest darkest secrets with her reliability. She is as close as you can get to perfection so watch out! You might need a band-aid ‘cause you’ll be falling for her!! - Bernice
