RED: My muse kisses your muse in the middle of a heated argument

In retrospect, Finn couldn’t even remember what it had been they were fighting about. They fought so seldomly, even though, like with everyone, there were topics where their opinions were vastly different. It was respect that made them so harmonous, the acceptance that not everyone was sharing your views and opinions and also finding the beauty in diversity.

But they had been stressed and tired and Finn had somehow started to raise his voice a little and there was that glint in Poe’s pretty eyes, the ‘challenge accepted’ glint. The challenge being shouting even louder than Finn, and while that was somewhat amusing, it also fueled Finn’s anger, because he felt like Poe wasn’t taking his irritation seriously. 

And he also gave the ‘kiss me’ mouth to the ‘challenge accepted’ eyes which confused Finn. Mixed signals much? But no matter how annoyed he was, the kissing won over anything really, Poe could have stabbed him with a vibroblade and if he wanted a kiss, Finn would give him one. So he grabbed Poe by the collar of his red uniform and pulled him into a kiss that was much softer than the former soldier’s glare at the moment. His anger soon evaporated too.

Damn that man.

“Did you see that?” Fox had to share with someone, to make sure they had seen what she had. She couldn’t be the only one. 

It was dark enough out to see more than a few stars and even planets that were close enough in range. Her face was angled towards the sky, waiting to see it another star would shoot across. There’d been two at least, probably was just a meteor shower in truth. 

“A shooting star. Do you think people still, y’know, wish on ‘em?” She felt a little foolish asking, but space was magnificent and it never lost it’s wonder. Wishing on stars didn’t have to either.

Although Finn had been tipsy before (alcohol had been hard to come by on the Starkiller, but Slip had managed to save him a few gulps from Nine’s secret flask one time) but he’d never been tipsy at a party. Hell, he’d never been to a party before, either, but Poe had assured him that it would be just like any other gathering, only louder. He’d been right, for the most part, but Finn hadn’t anticipated how many people would be packed in such a tight space. Once he’d started drinking the room had only felt louder and smaller, making it difficult for him to concentrate on the woman he was currently speaking with. Everything felt blurry around the edges, and his current conversation partner had been forced to touch his arm several times to guide him back to the conversation. 

When he was in the middle of apologizing again for spacing, he felt a pair of strong, familiar arms wrap around his waist. “Poe!”

Lips pursed and brow furrowed, he can only offer a near apologetic nod, had it not been for te stubborn way Kylo refused the pilot his gaze, it might have almost seemed sincere. "I will wait," he concludes slowly, watching that orange-clad man with dark, thoughtful, hues, "I did not mean to see you unappeased, it was merely a joke." Perhaps, sometimes, his impulses got the best of him.
