It is always the same when you see him. Eyes focused on a book and not minding everyone else but something in him makes you drawn into him. Maybe the way he talks or the way he ponders about life -what about it, why are we here and whatever you want to hear from him. Whenever you need answers he will always be willing to give it to you a piece of his mind. You still couldnt believe your luck that this person was yours, that despite the ugly past you both have he chose you. Despite of everything else.
"Oh- you're here" he finally noticed you after a minute closing the book he was reading and flashing you a smile (that dimple kills you every single time)
"Sorry im late. I wasnt able to leave work early"
"No worries. Hyung reserved this room for us" Namjoon replied. Helping you with you things and setting them in the table "have you eaten? I bought some chicken from the store below. I know this isnt homemade food but I think this tastes good too"
Namjoon replied with a chuckle "we could just order some room service, babe. No need to be so tight about money anymore"
"I know you dont. But I do. I need to pay for my tuition fee this semester"
"Babe, we already talked about this. If you need money, I could give you. If it makes you feel bad, you could loan it and just pay if when you're already settled. Im not boasting how much I earn here because the last time we talked about this you went straight to hell mad at me, but I just want you to focus on studying instead of working your ass off every night and studying after. I just dont want you to feel that you have to worry about finances anymore. I got you. You just have to let me."
"Namjoon" you sighed and closed your eyes. "I appreciate your concern but I am declining it is because I dont want everyone to think that since you got better finances now I get to be a spoiled girlfriend. Sure small gifts every now and then wont hurt. Buy what would the fans say if they find out about it? Also I want to still be independent. I enjoy working hard for the money I spend to, remember back then when I was in college and you were just rookies? I had to feed you and the boys every week because you dont earn enough, I dont want to feel helpless because you guys earn lots now that even Jungkook tried to paid for my meal. "
"Its still us. Were still together after all these years babe. You were with us ever since day 1 and now that we achieved everything we wanted in life, we want to help you too. I want to help you too. I love you too much, you know that right?"
You bit your lip. He was right, you were beside then even before they hit big. You were their number one supporter back when it seems like no one else noticed them or when everyone made fun of them because of their name and until now that everyone wants a piece of them you will always remember them as your friends. The one you go into drinking sessions with when everyone is tired from constant practicing, Namjoon was still the same boyfriend you had ever since. He was you constant rock which holds your whole world together and when they made it you were more then proud.
Ofcourse it came with obstacles, but as Namjoon holds you close you seen to remember that this person is your home and because of it, whatever may happend in the future you will be his home too.
