@raptorprowl asked; Direlash and Miguel were standing across from some heinous new opponent. And behind that opponent, a VIP hostage, formerly performing crucial classified intelligence reconnaissance:
Lego Spider-Man.
Beads of sweat were rolling down Direlash's forehead, from the tense hostage situation. Knowing his and the Spider-Man of 2099's actions would decide a small plastic man's life. And a variant of The Shocker, teary-eyed, swearing he'd waste Lego Peter if they got too close. He was at the end of his rope. Maybe they all were.
A rustle of wind reports the only sign of movement as each man remains still, not a single muscle twitching. Schultz' threat held considerable currency, especially given the plastic nature of his selected target, which placed Lego Parker's delicate life in their hands. This was going to be a tricky rescue, no matter what angle Miguel looked at it from.
To make matters worse, Shocker's frantic behaviour let the pair know that any wrong move could see them recover thousands of fractured plastic shards rather than one of the Society's best agents. Knowing what it would take to prevent this, including resorting to the kinds of action that... will not earn either of them any accolades, Miguel remained in place for a moment longer, assessing.
The white and black colouration of his armoured suit served as a vast departure from his usual preference, providing what was hoped to be a few extra layers of protect for when he could be sent flying by a compressed air blast by Schultz. Still, as important as carefully gauging their every move was, unlike his ally, Miguel felt compelled to a slide a foot forward, warnings of his own invention dripping from his mask mouth as he responded with; "You've got one chance, Shocker. Either you take the sensible option, and hand Spider-Man over to us this instant, or I'm gonna break your wrists." A fracturing of bone that, with any luck, would disable his capacity to generate destructive vibrations for the foreseeable future.
