In the Eixample, Barcelona's most central district, Rardo Architects have renovated this 1950s flat. The idea behind this refurbishment was to maximise natural light. The open space includes a STUA Malena armchair upholstered in blue.

The kitchen island of the this pied-a-terre for a couple in Sitges had all the furniture custom made in cedar wood. This full refurbishment included a solid French oak flooring, with a new underfloor heating system and an energy efficient cooling equipment. All lighting is LED and dimmable. A perfect secular retreat to enjoy time off in the Mediterranean. hope you like it. Every piece of furniture has been custom designed in this pied-à-terre in the centre of Madrid. Small spaces need big design solutions. In this case, there is a large drawer for each one and a small niche for paper serviettes and a bin for guests. The Wood chosen for this piece has been Natural oak veneer. We conceived this villa in La Plana, a residential neighborhood in Sitges, Barcelona, as a glass pavilion with large concrete overhangs to protect the interiors from the sun but still keeping all the natural light to come in. This 600 m² plot is on a quiet street and sits on a gentle slope. The double height connects the two levels and welcomes you when you enter the house. This space also creates a visual transparency with the terraces and garden. This is the Garden design concept by @joanmaroig_paisatgista for the exteriors for a family villa in Sitges, Barcelona. JoanMa tells us a bit more about the design process and his main ideas behind his collaborative work with @rardoarchitects “The design for this garden came from the wish of creating a series of green layers for privacy and adding natural shade for the long summers days. By adding a series of trellises of different type of trees and palm trees we can create a green screening that is both soft and fresh. By doing so, we can focus the eye to the pool area, becoming a heavenly focal point, with green around it. In this initial design stage, the choice of plants is not defined yet but I imagine it to be an elegant song of vibrant greens and greys, punctuated with notes of colour and big leaves plants.
