idea: play adaptation of crime and punishment in real time.
the play is months long. actors sleep onstage. we watch rodya’s descent into madness as we ourselves descend into madness over weeks and weeks. the audience subsists on cabbage soup, bread, and vodka.
think about it: crime and punishment adaptations are lacking because the pacing doesn’t work for a traditional play or movie. but if we murder pacing and piss on its grave, we don’t have that problem.
