For the LU ask game! 5 💭Share a headcanon you have for one of the chain, 15 🔵How many chuchus could you take in a fight?, 19 🧍Is there a side character you'd love for the chain to meet?
Hi hi wormy!!
5. Share a headcanon you have for one of the chain.
I like the headcanon that Warriors came from an upper class family, but he was the youngest of, like, five sons (and Linkle). Because of that, he didn't get much familial care and attention as a kid, and he knew his only chance at making a name for himself would be when he got shipped off to the military when he came of age. After the war and his status as the hero started to be a positive thing, his family tried to pretend that they always loved him and supported him etc etc. He saw right through their shit and currently has an apartment in Castletown that Linkle crashes at frequently. She's the only real one of the family
15. How many chuchus could you take in a fight?
I already answered this, and I think it'd be no more than 8. I think as long as they're not jumping at me, I could probaby keep a safe distance.
19. Is there a side character you'd love for the chain to meet?
Kass!!! But I am biased, I love the bird guy <3 I think he and Legend could make a sick duet if he can get past the prickly vet
Wild card to answer one of the asks that you wish someone would ask!
:D
Which LU fandom event is your favorite?
I'm biased, but Seeking did a great job running the writer and artist appreciation events. I feel like I was at my peak when I was participating in the artist appreciation event. It was so fun and I loved the scheming silliness we'd all have, and at the end, lots of new tasty fic and art to enjoy. I am also enjoying the write-a-thon. This month was my first time participating, but it was really fun and I actually got a lot of writing done when I hadn't been able to for months! Anyway, tldr, community makes fandom so much better. Who knew!
Hello Wars jumped in the market 👁️👁️
>:)
I've had this one for a while and have rewritten it twice at this point. I'm not sure if it'll get to the point that I'm truly happy with it, but I'll share a little snippet with you <3
He was seething, and Warriors let him seethe in silence. It wasn’t until a few blocks later that he spoke again, tone dark but much more subdued. “That man really wanted to kill you.” “Yeah.” “I wish I killed him.” “No you don’t.” Wild frowned, stopping and turning to face Warriors. He looked him over, eyes flicking between Warriors’ face and the blood staining the front of his tunic. He didn’t know what he was looking for, but he must have found it, because before he could say anything, Wild pulled him into a tight hug. The younger hero dropped his head on his shoulder, gripping the back of his tunic. “If it meant keeping you safe, I would.” Warriors wrapped his arms around him, holding him just as tightly. “Don’t,” he said softly but sternly. “It’s not worth it.” “Yes you are,” Wild hissed, pulling back from the hug to grip the front of Warriors’ tunic, forcing their eyes to meet. “You are worth it,” he repeated. “I’m not losing any more of my friends if I can do anything about it.”
For the WIP, ask thing. I'm curious about the 2 untitled documents, but I really came in here to ask about "Holding On To This For Later" . What are you plotting in there zee
oh,you know
Twilight shifted ever so slightly, lifting his left leg out of the water and holding it for a moment. Suddenly deflating, he let it drop back into the water, uncaring about the sudden splash it caused. “Our worlds are all so different.” He couldn’t disagree with that. “And yet, they are all the same Hyrule,” he responded, after a long moment’s pause. “Are they?” Time glanced over to Twilight, who was frowning at the sea as if it were a particularly difficult dungeon puzzle. He didn’t need to vocalize his train of thought for Time to understand where he was coming from. It was all a bit overwhelming, to think that they shared a soul sentenced to reincarnation for eternity. When great evil awakened, a new version of themselves would rise alongside it to stop destruction and devastation. And yet for all their efforts, it seemed never to be enough. “Sorry, that’s a silly question.” “I don’t think so.”
(the context is that twi stormed out after an argument and wanted to fish to clear his head, but he forgot the great sea doesnt support life and now hes just sad)
Trick or treat, Zee *spooky ghost noises*
My costume this year is your pile of To Be Read AO3 works :D
"Delivery for Link and Link!"
Twilight turned at the sound of the postman's voice only to have a parcel shoved into his face. He fumbled to keep it from falling, and by the time he had it firmly in his grasp, the postman was already running down the path.
"How does he do that?" Sky mumbled with a shudder. Twilight could only shrug helplessly, and glanced down at what he was handed.
"Uh, he only gave us one thing," Twilight announced. "Didn't he say Link and Link."
"I have the other one," Four said, raising a package in the air. It was a similar size to the one Twilight held. "I think it's for you." Sure enough, when Four passed it over to him, the tag read Link's own name in very familiar handwriting.
"It's from Uli!" Twilight exclaimed. He grinned, tucking it under his arm as he glanced at the tag on the other package. "Huh, look at that. This one is for you, Smithy. That's your writing, isn't it?" He held it out to Four, who nodded and took the package from his hands with a thanks.
Twilight started opening his gift from Uli as the group continued their trek. Wind sidled up next to him, eyes gleaming in curiosity, but he groaned when he saw what it was. "A book? That's so boring! Smithy, what did you get?" Wind zipped away from Twilight, who laughed at him before flipping through the book. When he was Wind's age, Uli and Sera had to work hard to satiate his love of reading. It was rare to get a new book, and expensive, but they did their best to make sure there was something for him to read.
"You read?" Warriors asked teasingly.
Twilight rolled his eyes. "Jealous because you can't?"
Warriors scoffed, but his retort was cut short as Wind's yell cut across the fields. "Another book!?" Twilight turned back to see Four holding what was indeed a book, staring at Wind with a raised eyebrow. The sailor shot a glare at him before turning to point at Twilight. "You've lost your cool points with me," he threatened.
"Does that make me the favorite now?" Warriors asked hopefully.
Wind stuck his tongue out. "No way!" He darted ahead to walk alongside Time. "Time's my favorite. He doesn't know how to read."
"What!?"
TRICK OR TREAT
Sky's screech froze Time in his tracks. Wind shivered next to him, and the two turned with wide eyes. The entire camp fell silent at the inhuman, high-pitched noise that came from their otherwise quiet companion.
Sky's eyes were locked onto the mask Time had just pulled from his bag. His eyes glowed in the firelight as he stared intently, almost entranced by it. Leaning forward, he held a hand out, as if beckoned by the mask itself, before curling his fingers to point at it. "Is that...?" he asked, trailing off as his eyes flicked to Time's questioningly.
Time hesitated, caught off guard by Sky's intensity. Such reaction to his masks often carried tales of corruption, of power and greed. But he knew Sky, perhaps the least likely soul to become corrupted by any dark power. Though every kind soul had their weakness, and Time shuddered at the power Sky would wield should he fall to the temptations of this particular mask.
Wind snatched the mask from Time's hands before he even knew what had happened. "Do you want to see it?" Wind asked, halfway across camp before Time could say a word. Sky grinned, happily receiving the mask from Wind, neither knowing of what sort of dangerous power it held. Time held out a hand to stop him, but it was too late. Sky lifted the mask to his head, secured it to his face, and let out a booming laugh.
"How do I look?" he asked. "Do I look like one of those tiny birds?"
"You look like one is eating your face off," Legend commented. "What's that one, Old Man?"
"The Bremen Mask," Time answered numbly. His mind flashed through haunting images of Sky marching an army of cuccos across Hyrule field. A weapon of mass destruction, unstoppable, and horrifying.
"No way, Legend's lying," Wind insisted. "You look like the king of tiny birds!" Sky laughed in delight, pleased with the assessment. Time prayed to whatever deity would listen, hoping Sky would never learn the true powers of the Bremen Mask.
Trick or Treat!
Warriors leaned back, kicking his feet up on the empty stool beside him. His elbow was propped on the bar, glass raised in his hand as he lazily alternated between sipping and holding his drink. Sky gave him a flat look from a few stools away, and Warriors simply smirked, lifting his glass in a mock toast before taking another swig.
"He's going to get himself killed," Sky hissed, leaning over to get a little closer to him. "Destroyed. Why would you let him do this?"
"He's a big boy, he can fight his own battles," Warriors dismissed easily.
"You goaded him into this," Sky accused, but Warriors only laughed. Sky glared at him before shooting a side-eye across the tavern. Legend had gotten into some sort of spat with the Captain that resulted in him storming across the room. Now he was talking with some rather rough looking fellows, looking seconds away from throwing punches.
"Don't worry about him," Warriors said. "The worst he'll get is a bruised ego, nothing more." Sky disagreed, and could in fact think of several ways this could go terribly wrong, but before he could voice any of them, a booming voice shouted across the tavern, silencing the crowd.
"Clear the way! Make room!" the largest man yelled, physically pushing people out of the way. Patrons scurried away from him, clearing out the large section of the room that didn't have any tables or chairs. The barmaid came up beside Warriors and Sky, leaning onto the counter and watching while she cleaned a glass.
Legend and another man followed the first, standing on opposite sides of the cleared out space. Legend's face was blank, a stone-cold stare the only thing he offered his opponent. The tension in the room was thick as everyone held their breath, waiting.
"Are both parties ready?" the man called, receiving stiff nods from each. "Then let the battle... begin!"
The band on the far end of the room began to play a fast-tempo, upbeat song, and after a few beats, the two competitors jumped into the rhythm. Legend was quick and light on his feet as he danced a complicated choreography Sky had never seen before. Warriors laughed, the audience beginning to jeer and cheer for their chosen competitor, and Sky could only hope that Legend truly had the moves he claimed to have. Otherwise, it would be an embarrassing evening for them all.
