Want to know what my “Kook sin was? I argued that Neanderthals and so called moderns interbred. Which they did. And everyone now accepts this as a proven fact. But they hadn’t yet accepted it in 2007 when I was making an argument.

For me it all changed after the breakthrough Wilson & Cann mtDNA study, the one claiming to have dated and pinpointed the location of “Eve” -- the mother that all living humans share as an ancestor. Well the study had a number of assumptions as it’s basis and what I noticed is that all those assumptions were REVERSED when “Determining” that there was no interbreeding with Neanderthals. So one, at least, had to be wrong.

Either Wilson & Cann were wrong or all the claims of Neanderthals being a genetic dead-end were wrong.

Well. They both could have been wrong, I suppose, but the point being that they could never both be right. 

Given the nature of the contradiction (error), I felt certain that the only answer was interbreeding. Period.

And like I said, time had proven me right and everybody else wrong. And yet somebody is so twisted, so warped, so emotionally damaged that they are STILL maintaining the RationalWiki error out of pure malice.
