Yanno I'll always have a soft spot for the movie cuz it was my first ever exposure to Hellboy, but after reading the comics and then rewatching the movie you realize how different they are from each other. It's not that the way they characterized him is completely wrong or anything but how they wrote him in the movie makes him seem so, childish. He acts more like a rebellious teenager rather than the grown 50 something year old man that he is in the comics and same goes for all the other characters, Abe is delegated to some sort of sidekick-esque character, Liz, while still upholding some of the nuance she had in the comics, is turned into a love interest despite them never being implied to have that kind of relationship in the comics and Kate Corrigan isn't even there.

There's something to be said about Hotaru's power being something that is inherently destructive(lava projection thingy) and Havik's power being something that is inherently constructive(healing factor thingy)

My favorite thing about stay night is probably Rin "I'm in it to win it" Tohsaka and Shirou "I attempt to kill myself every night in order to become a magus" Emiya

It's probably just me but I ABSOLUTELY HATED that Sybil got back with Abe and got fuckin married to him in the end of season 2 bcuz Abe DOES NOT deserve that woman or any woman for that matter. "Oh he's changed" I DONT CARE I DONT LIKE HIM. I understand that he's went through some, emphasis on some(honestly it's more like barely any), sort of character growth but I fuckin haateeeee himmm. And Sybil needs higher standards cuz wtf do you mean he openly oggled another woman while you were right there and you still went back to him. Like are we being serious right now?? Out of all the fish in the sea??? You choose the giant stone head???
