what actual slytherin & ravenclaw friendships are like
I see all these posts about Slytherin and Ravenclaw friendships being about taking over the world and evil geniuses and being sarcastic and rude to each other and hiding all your feelings and trying to prove that their better than the other and tripping each other over and being friends only cause you have a common goal and not being friends but just rivals or comrades but nah there's more to it than that.
I'm a Slytherin & I have 2 ravenclaw best friends and what actually happens is this:
Slytherin & Ravenclaw being competetive with each other but never pointing it out and in a healthy way.
Slytherin & Ravenclaw working on something together and helping each other out even though neither of you know what you're doing. And saying that you're both brilliant or absolutley stupid.
Slytherin & Ravenclaw doing something together and both of them thinking their doing terrible and their friend is doing it way better and way more skilled in general and you need to be as good at the other. Then when one of them can't figure out how the other is doing it so well/do it as well as their friend, they ask something like, "You're great at this, how do you do it?" and then the other insists that this isn't the best they could do it and that it's terrible, and then their friend says that they're incredible at it, and then the other says that their friend is doing it better and they should tell them how to do it--and then it turns into this perfectley ridiculous argument about who's better at this or that while complenting and degrading each other at the same time. One eternity later it becomes a draw and the argument is left to be argued for another day.
Slytherin & Ravenclaw being complete nerds about anything and the darkest and most innocent things and being both so stupidly passionate about it.
Slytherin & Ravenclaw trying to write 'proffessional' fanfiction but it just goes off the rails of the Hogwarts Express and then there's self inserts and just literally doing whatever you want to the charectars for no good reason and plot breaking and plot armor and just writing way too much out of control gibberish and it goes on for hours until midnight
Slytherin & Ravenclaw talking to each other way that makes no sense to other people but it isn't morse code and makes complete sense and everything sounds so out of context even with context and literally they can't go 5 minutes while talking to each other without saying something that sounds bloody wrong in so many ways but really it just meant something 'normal'?! (there is no such thing as normal with Ravenclaw & Slytherin)
Slytherin & Ravenclaw being absolute drama royalty and making everything over dramatic and exaggerated and more detailed than nesscesaary and going along with each other's drama with gasps and full on acting
oh my merlin why did this post get so long so here's the last thing FOR NOW
Slytherin & Ravenclaw could absoltuely destroy the world if they wanted too and they talk about it all the time but in reality their either 1) too nice to do it and are real kind sorcers and their personal rules said no
2) dealing with azkaban and society's shitty government on that level is too much work and they have better ways to commit arson and revenage
3) honestly they have better things to do and they've already wittly smacked the enemy and venting to each other about all the creating things they could do to the enemy
and yes i said that slytherins & ravenclaws aren't always evil world domination but you know it could happen and it does but it's usually just hypothetical and on paper
