NYCOVID-19
So, as you might already know since this is everyone’s reality now, New York has completely flipped upside down and I’m not talking fresh prince. I’m determined to get out here and capture New York while its nice and quiet and creepy. It’s a great time for introverted photographers, especially if they are interested in capturing this unique environment that no one has ever lived through(with the proper protection of course, be careful). We are accustomed to the colorful and unique people of New York but there’s something about the times we’re in that brings out the best of New York.
All I’m saying is that I saw some interesting things on that day. More than usual. Honestly I think because of how quiet things are nowadays and some liquid courage I was able to muster up the courage to take photos like the one above. Don’t get me wrong there are still some cute aspects of New York like this doggo.
By the way, if you cough on the train nowadays people look at you like I looked at this gentleman in the towel.
He was smoking an entire cigarette on the train platform. This is proof that New York is desolate right now. I took this at times square near the yellow lines. If you know New York you would know that this area is usually filled with people at 2pm.
This is a picture of the train platform on the opposite side of where I was standing. Those trains head to Brooklyn... the most populated borough of New York. If that’s not bad enough imagine not being able to get a cup of coffee from your local Starbucks.
It’s okay I go to Dunkin’ anyways ;P
Also, just a warning. The next photo will be crazy. But I didn’t make this person do this. You did. Haha. Idk. This is just life in New York. He was broad day with it.
According to my girlfriend he had some toilet paper in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Imagine if I were to walked up to him and asked him if he has considered quitting cigs. Maybe there was a better time to have that convo? Thank you for reading. Stay safe out here in these Corona times. Stay woke. Peace and Love.
