i love you

but i am not in love anymore

too many times you left me

can you feel my resentment

leaking thru

i dont care anymore

or maybe i care too much

about being together forever

till the end throws

its final punch

i am better off alone

on my own

so im told

the ending is predestined

our story is fucking old

Exhaustion beats you like the horse you rode in on

Life grabbed the reigns

Now i watch you turn gray

Choking and biting at the bit

That you placed in your own mouth

While searching for something that cant be replaced

The spark blew off from the tinder

Now i sing for myself on my own

My muscles would melt into your quiet ease

You would count the stars running down my spine

You would remind me of the beauty

That I hold to your despise

What my body tells me

My nights are yours sweet lover

My days are too if you please

little notes left in the neon nothingness

remind me that life is meaningless

i drone and i sway

just petrified wood on display

but i hope and i pray

that the lines that i drop into the ethereal flow

are enough to brighten your dimming glow
