"Which room do you want?" She figured it better to ask, in the event two people wanted to bunk together in one room or have an individual space. After all, she was used to a dorm room- several others in one room with the rest ebing used for other things like projects.

"If there's a room left once everyone is moved in, I might turn that one into a workshop. So I have space to work, and all." She kept her tone low, simple. It was safer that way- so people understood her better. Or rather, understood her position.

      If there was one thing that got his guts twisted faster than anything else, it was putting kids into dangerous situations. This Easter egg hunt of a mission had just too little danger that the general public wouldn’t much bat an eye if a kid had decided to try their hands at getting those millions -- some might even have encourage the young ones to break a leg going for it -- but Rider, no, Eren couldn’t stomach it.       ‘You. You don’t belong here, you know,’ he said this while doing a double take of the child in front of him, making sure of his safety. ‘It’s dangerous around. With the, uh, infection and all. People getting really violent, trying to make a fortune in a few minutes. Maybe they never needed an infection as an excuse in the first place...?’

      ‘Well, regardless -- what I’m trying to get at, is that you shouldn’t be out scavenging for fragments. Or be out at all.’

A long morning of meetings and interviews had Nia's head spinning. She hadn't had a chance to breathe, let alone a minute to herself in the four hours she had been in the office. But it was lunch time and she needed an escape. Never one to use her brother as an excuse, he was the mayor after all, she snuck out of her own office and up to his after grabbing them both lunch from a place downtown. "How is it that it's almost one on the afternoon and I don't think I've had more than two minutes to myself all day? I thought the summer was supposed to be slower than the rest of the year." She asked, more rhetorically than anything but happy to hear of any advice from her brother.

“Tag! I got you, momma!” Gasping, Jiya twirled around to look at her son who was now giggling as he tried to get a head start. “How did you get me? You sneaked up on me, didn’t you?” Chasing after her son, Jiya grabbed him around the waist, spinning him around before setting him down with a big kiss against his cheek. “Gotcha back.” She smiled as the giggling boy squirmed in her arms and began to pat her pockets for his snack. “You want this now or do you want a milkshake on the way home?” Nodding at his response, Jiya smiled and let go of her son, smiling as he quickly darted off, burning off some of his endless energy.

Following after him at a leisurely pace, Jiya didn’t have time to react before Sam went crashing into a pair of legs. “Sam, be careful, honey!” Jogging over to her son, she checked he was alright before looking at the victim of his quick runs. “Ray, hi, sorry, I didn’t realise it was you. He didn’t hurt you or anything?” After making sure Sam apologised to Ray, she nodded at him as he hid behind his mother’s legs, pulling his toy out of his pocket to play with. “Sorry again, we didn’t mean to disturb your walk.”
