A year ago today I posted my first JSE ego fanart. You can find that here if you really wanna see it. Decided to draw something for the occasion.

The sappy ramble to accompany this is under the cut but happy one year chat.

Around a year ago today, I watched IRIS Project. I had been watching Jack a bit more, and I had seen it among his playlists. It was in the back of my mind to watch at some point.

Then a family medical emergency turned me on my head. I was trapped downstate in a hospital waiting to hear if my family member was OK. I wasn't allowed to fully process what was happening either, as out of my three other siblings it fell to me to be the clear thinker.

So, one day as I'm sitting in the waiting room, trying to distract myself, I remember IRIS Project. I decide why not and put on the livestream versions (at the time thinking ANOMALY FOUND at the bottom of the playlist was a part three & not... a way easier to watch lol)

That was one of the best decisions of my life. The egos kind of became my lifeline. A bright spot in an otherwise miserable time. Something I could latch onto. I also watched ISWM around this time, as well as listened to Edge of Sleep.

And over the course of the year, I've had the honor of meeting so many talented and awesome people! Some of whom have quickly become some of my close friends (you know who you are >:D)

Sure, I've had my bad experiences in this fandom, and sure my mental health hasn't been doing so hot either, but I'm glad I'm here regardless.

Here's to more years in this fandom. I can't wait ^^
