A sample para (don’t have to be in character):
Why do I even bother to come back to this one horse town, the vampire thought to herself. She was perfectly safe those few weeks she’d spent in New York. No originals were around and no one was mistaking her for her painfully dull doppelganger, Elena. Now here she was back in the useless spit of land the residents liked to call Mystic Falls. It wasn’t a secret that Stefan had been hoarding the coffins. She’d eavesdropped on many conversations in the grill since she had been back and understood the gist of what had been going on. The humans here were dense, even the ones who did know who she was. They could keep their voices low, but not low enough for a 500 year old vampire to beable to ignore. She couldn’t say she wanted to help a humanityless Stefan, but she wanted Klaus dead and so did he. She figured she could pay him a visit atleast, maybe figure out what he was up too and find the coffins in the process.
She pulled herself up off her stool at the grill. The people inhabiting the place tonight were boring and truthfully, smelt horrible. Katherine wasn’t about to sink her teeth into someone who smelt like they’d just crawled out of a barn. She left the building and got in her car, taking a look in the rear-view mirror. Her hair was in tight curls, a signature look she had given herself. It wasn’t in her interest to pretend to be Elena tonight. After a minute or two of wallowing in her own narcissism she pulled away from the parking lot a towards the forest. As the vampire drove, she thought. Of all the places in Mystic Falls, Stefan had to pick the infamous site of the witch burnings. She was sure the witches hated her, not that she cared, but if they prevented her from getting into the house her chances of just burning it down were rather high.
Katherine rolled her eyes as she turned down a particularly bumpy dirt road. He couldn’t have picked a more ideal place. Maybe somewhere with a paved road or air conditioning. She quickly hit the end of the road and turned off her vehicle, stepping outside and into the forest, walking the remainder of the way. Within moments the vampire founds herself at the front entrance of the building. “Stefan. Come out come out wherever you are,” Katherine called out to him. She stepped inside the building and looked around, a visible smirk on her face. As she waited for him to show his face she slid one of her fingers along the wall and examined the disgusting amount of dust and dirt that had come off of it.
