CALLING ALL RAYMAN FANS AROUND TUMBLR! I AM GONNA BE DOING A “RAY-MONTH” DRAWING CHALLENGE!

What do I mean by that?

Well, September the 1st is considered as the anniversary date of Rayman’s first game, making it his birthday. So to celebrate that, I’ll be doing a drawing challenge where I draw according to certain these categories:

A quick sketch of the Magician and Ales Mansay

Since it's Dark Counterpart day of Ray-Month, i figured I'd tell you guys my headcanon/AU about the Magician. Origins is a prequel to Rayman 1, telling the story of the war between Betilla and the Magician from the POV of Rayman's dreams.

Long story short, Ales was addicted to Lums and obsessed with power and money. Betilla helped him overcome his problems and see the error of his ways. The two ran away together to Toon Valley, which has properties that make everyone who stays there long enough limbless. There Ales left his old life behind and became simply the Magician.

The Magician is very ashamed of his old life.

Day 2: Globox

Our hero’s best friend and the best dad around! And he’s got a lot in his hands!! Seriously, look at him!

(Yes, I know that this one was more digital than the first one, but I didn’t have enough time for the day 1. So…)

(Also, I don’t know why, but as I was drawing this, I was like “what if @slightly-gay-pogohammer ‘s rayman picture had a somewhat matching icon to it..?” It’s not much, but oh well!)
