Hammerhunter Week day 2: Based on Fic (Also day 4: Soulmates)

A scene from my fic Always Been You, My Friend that I wrote for the 2021 Hammerhunter week. This is the moment Jim and Toby finally figure out that they are soulmates, they're about 12 years old here.

Summary:

The name of your soulmate appears on your arm on your 10th birthday, Toby is disappointed to find that his soulmate isn't his best friend. Until a couple years later he finds out it is.

200 Word November Writing Challenge Finale!

Day 30

Words: 554

Hooray! I finished another little writing challenge! I'm glad I did this little challenge again. Like I've said before, just forcing yourself to do a minimum of 200 words is so approachable, and just starting helps the motivation to keep writing!

I was definitely very motivated to write this month and went well above the 200 word minimum for a bunch of days this month.

Total word count this month: 13,411 🎉

YAHOO! I finished! I did the whole challenge! I worked on Ch 7 of Kindness Is Reciprocal again for the last day :3

Total Words for the Month: 8,310 🎉

This was a great little challenge, and I want to give a big thank you to @creativepromptsforwriting for sharing this challenge! I have been struggling a lot with writing recently and this challenge was something so very approachable. I have written more in this past month than I have probably in the whole of 2023 and half of 2024. This is also probably going to be something I try to implement for my writing beyond just this month. Only being obliged to write 200 words a day really helps, if I found myself getting stuck, it's an easy goal to reach before going "Okay, I'm done for the day, I can come back to this tomorrow." Though often times I'd write more 'cause just starting even helps to get you motivated and keep writing.

I got to work on a bunch of different works this months, I actually got to update a fic that hadn't received love in 2 years because of this challenge! Hopefully, if I keep up with this kind of momentum and the mentality in approaching my writing that this challenge has helped me with, you all will get to see some more updates from me!
