"Charlie" at Frontager's suggested this stop, which offered a change from the mostly flat beach topography around Westport. Rain and wind off the Pacific ocean erode cliffs, revealing layers of soil, sand and rock topped with a crown of conifers near the beautiful town of Seabrook. 🌲🌲🌲 . . The weather waited until the end of the trip before it began to rain. ☁️🌦️🌧️ It was a sweet window of time that allowed the digging (and cleaning) of razor clams, and later coating and frying the sweet and tender pieces in Panko. Delicious! 🌥️⛅🌤️☀️ . . Most the beaches I've seen in Washington and Oregon have grey-brown sand. On a sunny fall day, it's easy to feel like you're on a California white-sand beach. And the frigid water temperature is not top of mind -- that is, unless you're crazy enough to go in. 🌊🌊🌊 . . I've read that white, dark and black sands are made of different components. . . What color is the sand on the beach nearest to you?🏖️ . . #seabrook #westport #washingtoncoast #washingtonstate #washingtonbeaches #washington #beaches #pacificocean #pacific #ocean #geology #strata #cliff #sand #clouds #razorclams #bivalves #panko . . #pixel2xl #pixel2xlphotography #pixel2photography #pixelphotography #pixelart #pixelperfect #verizon #bettermatters .
