Ran 6 km and actually got HOT in leggings and long sleeves, went with some pals from my program to yell at our provincial government about education funding cuts, then finished the day with lunch dates. Days like today set my soul on fire
This long run kinda sucked- I’m still a little sick and my legs felt weak and my stomach hurt the whole time. I was hoping for 10 but turned around a bit early so 9.3 it is 🤷♀️ Really ready to feel 100% again soon 😩

10k training W5D2: 6 x 800 metres
My first time ever doing 800 repeats, and MAN they are HARD. Every single rep after the first one, I felt like I was dying by the end and there was no way I could do the full 800 metres. But I did! And my paces were pretty much right where I wanted them even though I was just running by feel.

10k Training W6D3: 5 minute warmup, 30 minute tempo, 5 minute cooldown
I messed around with my training schedule this week because I'm going away for a wedding this weekend, so today was my second speed workout in two days. It went a bit better than yesterday's 800s, even if the pace could have been faster.
Lots to be happy about today:
Ran in shorts and a tank top!
Saw four flowers!
31.3 miles for the week!
In three days I will be Dr. Rice!
