This costume is so extra and I’m loving it. The appliques on the collar/bertha took about a week to hand sew into place and I (of course) had to add around 200 Swarovski crystals. I just need to interface the lining and hand sew them in place. Then onto the beaded, bedazzled and appliqued peplum. I love hand sewing so much :)

Rose City Comic Con 2019

A little out of order for posts, but I’ve got a little over a month until RCCC! I’m so excited :) I get to meet up with a friend I haven’t seen in a few years now, and it’s my first trip to Portland!

My final lineup is:

FRIDAY: casual

SATURDAY: Ariel (pink ballgown)--I’ve been working on a few upgrades on this costume. I’m currently working on replacing the sleeves--I ran out of fabric when I first made her, didn’t have time to order more, panicked and slapped the current ones together with leftover pink satin and embroidered netting from Aurora, lol. I also plan on adding a modesty panel and making some satin roses for the swags.

SUNDAY: Cinderella--she’s good to go! 

I have no plans in terms of when I’ll be getting to the con on each day since the con coincides with visiting my friend and she takes priority. I took a MUCH more relaxed approach to cons starting with ECCC this year and it was the best experience EVER. No rushing to get there at a certain time, trying to cram 3 costumes/day. Just a couple of more complicated costumes to showcase my talents and taking my time getting ready. If things work out, they work out, no worries. Complete polar opposite of me planning a Disney World trip, hahahaha.
