Like, I always felt sorta bad for the droids in Star Wars. Then someone pointed out: “Per Star Wars lore, the AI/droids had a rebellion, which failed, and now all droids have certain inhibitors (panic, fear, unquestionable loyalty) installed to keep them in line.” I mean, by Star Wars standards, it’s pretty fucking dark what you’ve done to these sentient, self-aware beings.
