Re-Legion launches this week, not for Linux

Re-Legion real-time strategy games release is coming for Windows and Mac, but in Linux. 1C Entertainment announce the launch date following a successful showing at PAX South 2019. Available January 31st on Steam and Humble Store. Re-Legion is a top-down isometric RTS. Where players become a prophet in a technocratic society. Since they can define their own belief system and convert citizens. Upgrading them into fighting units to rid the city of non-believers. As they take on the role of Elion, a strong leader who promises to rid the world of misery. Who is also working to become a leader and prophet. While Elion increases his power, he turns non-believing citizens into his “Followers”. Also introducing a very different resource management system. Where the conversion of ordinary people drives the player’s rise to dominance.

Linux release:

So yes, we will have a Linux build in the works. But we will not have a day-one release for Re-Legion this week. Which means commmunity will have to wait until mid-February for further details. Since studio Ice Code Games will work to issue fixes during this time. And do note, this is a Unity 3D release. Which means using Proton until the Linux release might be an option. But sadly, we will have to wait and see. Re-Legion has attracted attention at various shows over the past year. The unique Cyberpunk premise, fresh mechanics for converting units and creating a cult. All taking place in a dark, neon-tinted art style. So as the game unfolds, players will convert more followers—essentially. Their units—and the cult will expand its possibilities by obtaining “CryptoCredits”. This will enable upgrades while cultists increase their Faith, a secondary resource. All in order to gain and use special abilities. Cultists can also use hacking to expand and control territories. Converting other citizens—or fight enemy units and non-believers.
