: NEW TO BLOG : | Another old OC of mine that I know of but haven't really shown off since back on DeviantART a few years ago, so even though she is old to me, I haven't actually re-designed or updated her bio for a long time, she is new to this blog so I will introduce her properly.
Also any OCs that I mention are old but have never been introduced to my blog from here on out, I will label as "new to blog", just in case people think they missed out on anything, but no you are fine you haven't.

Penelope wasn't the only maid that her boss hired to provide for Amélie, there were also a couple more, though who mostly maintain cleanliness and other household related chores for the celebrity's home; Penelope actually handles her dinner and other slightly more personal chores and errands, hence why they are both very close friends now
She's not very close to her immediate family in the sense of always visiting during gatherings or holidays, however Penelope was very close to her late father before he passed away years ago due to health complications; Her mother only ever texts her about work or just the usual "how is everything"
Despite not being much of a fighter as mentioned, she does want to try her hand at combat merely because it's really convenient and easy to protect yourself and others in case of situation where it's needed; And since spear fighters ran on her father's side of the family, of course it is to become her preference. Her distant brother and even late cousin were spear fighters as well, practically running through the generation of men in her family with the eventual exception of her
Loves to read and has a whole small personal library within one of the guestrooms of Amélie's mansion, Penelope enjoys mostly reading up on history, especially the history and origins of music within the cultures of the Zarean race. Also where her heart to playing the piano came from as well, which was the only thing her mother ever approved her of, as she was also a former well-known pianist before retiring
A great listener and does try her best to help those in need of it, her and Amélie do this on occasions which, as mentioned, ends up with duets and just letting loose. Even Penelope's colleagues get their fair share of therapeutic of sort lessons despite being incredibly envious and biased towards her for being bestie's with the celebrity
Has a severe type of OCD which having the profession as a personal maid does sometimes help her cope with it, although of some occasions when she and her colleagues are doing a full on deep-clean session; Gloves and maybe a face mask is MUST, as being in these situations sometimes put her in a frenzy
Her boss and the company they own has major affiliations with the Zarean government, who are very known for being the most strict and socially distant official leaders of their civilization; Penelope has only been in a somewhat distant vicinity as them only just a couple occasions and she fears them a lot. Luckily, her boss is nothing of the sort and is very upbeat, of course where being professional requires it, he won't act all giddy around the government officials
The only people of positions who refer to Penelope by her full name are those receiving her services; Only her colleagues, Amélie, and her boss refer to her as "Penny"
As much as it pains her to admit, she does not do well with taking care of or catering to children; Another colleague of hers who is a very much older lady who not only has children of her own, but also seems to have that "magical touch" to quieten them down or distract them from what upsets them. Penelope wishes to do the same, alas, she has a sort of disliking to them, for no particular reason of course, just not a fan
It is a slight rare genetic mutation within the Zarean species, but when Penelope was born she actually was born without the signature black markings on her body, with the exception of her fin when into contact with water. The small amounts of markings she has on her body now were painted on when she was a baby, with what the Zarean have created, which is a deep black coloured body paint that permanently sticks to their bodies. Out of curiosity growing up she would always try to rub it off to see if it would actually come off; Years later in her adulthood and no they are still very much there, and crafted with the natural of ingredients to not damage the skin or cause allergic reactions as well too
Her hair gets accused of being a wig by random people now and then with how poofy and "unnatural" it looks, and on some horrid occasions when she would get nasty people in her line of work, have tried tugging her hair "off", but of course to no avail as it's real. Amélie has always been on with those awful situations been by her side and protected her every single time
Doesn't like being put in situations, especially if for example her colleagues are to be at each other, and she gets put in the middle; Without warning she will leave the situation and potentially hide away somewhere
Sometimes would get teased for her posh accent, some clients believing she has a pompous attitude of sorts, of course wrong to assume such
Loves experimenting with ingredients for certain food recipes, and upon experimenting has found out that Amélie prefers spicy foods like curries other cuisines, and also finding out that the celebrity has an unnaturally high tolerance to spice

Penelope isn't much of a social butterfly, she has always been a very nervous person, however the job she has chosen herself has actually somewhat made it a little easier to communicate and get to know social cues. Never really had the worst childhood or life to experience growing up but where her father had helped her through so much to get where she needs to be now, when he had fallen ill and succumbed to health complications, it felt like her only source of light had faded, and knowing her mother was never really there for her emotionally felt like she was alone.
That is until having her job be associated with not only one of the most famous people within the Zarean race one day, but to eventually become her best and closest friend as well definitely made it easy for Penelope to push a little further in life. As well as her boss being a good sport as well, at least things are steady for the timid maid.
So far all the OCs I have ever posted here either already were introduced before the OC ref re-draws or just were shown from previous blogs before being deleted, but Penelope is the first OLD OC I have that officially got a new ref sheet and everything especially to be posted here. I however don't know or really think I'll get anything Christmas related posted here as not only am I not feeling it at all this year, but also because family life at home has at most been mostly biased against me and has been actively, even now, treating me harshly, to which I can't get away from because I live here and don't have the job, money or means to get a place of my own.
I'm hoping it may change, however I do doubt that, but if I get that form of inspiration to draw anything of it... Well, I have 3 days to do that before the actual day comes and ambushes us all, debating whether it should OC related or fan art related though.. I may choose fan art however, because my OCs and this blog are practically non-existent to everyone and everything that exists. So yeah, hoping to get to a couple more OC refs at least before the next year if I'm lucky enough.
