Fic re-post, because I'm in the mood.
Back in July, my spinal cord did something unfortunate, and it has really cramped my style when it comes to writing. I'm finally settling back in, at least I hope so, and making progress on my WIP. But late autumn shading into winter is the season of nostalgia, and that drew me to look at this fic again. In this weather, and under so much stress, I want naps and comfort food and the chance to curl up and write. I wouldn't turn down a nice fireplace or a cup or two of mulled wine, either. A few friends, a few books, and some music.
I originally wrote Candles Lit Against the Dark for the Snape Showcase fest on LiveJournal, three years after writing a different fic for the same fest, a dark Snape/Minerva story that eventually grew into Year of the Thestral. Thestral is about grief and betrayal and memory and forgiveness and who gets to write the official story. Characters die. But they are remembered and even honored.
This fic is about getting older and celebrating what you have and those you love. About winter and warmth and coping to the best of your abilities. About how surviving costs you, but how it also brings you peace and pleasure. And how those who have seen the worst of you (*cough* Severus) may still welcome you into their hearts and homes.
I'm pretty sure it's the fluffiest HP fic I've ever written. But when the year starts getting dark, this is the feeling I crave.

Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker - Amor constante, más allá de la muerte - Rosas 1994 (Théâtre Royal de La Monnaie performance booklet, 1994)
Beautiful booklet published on the occasion of Amor constante, más allá de la muerte dance piece by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, performed by Rosas in Brussels, December 1994. Enriched with plenty of reference images, the texts by Thierry de Mey and Anne Teresa develop the main theme of the piece based on Francisco de Quevedo’s baroque poem.

So, I'm trying to have a new experience with my new life and share some of that with the world on Tumblr. I'm new to it and have came across my first test. Apparently, people on Tumblr take their re-blogging VERY serious, content they don't own or isn't original, most of it is copyrighted! Seems silly to me that they get upset if I re-post it instead of re-blogging, even when I give FULL credit to the original poster, meaning, I thank them, give a link to their blog, and # them on my post... I GIVE THEM THREE FORMS OF CREDIT! Apparently, that's still considered STEALING to the Tumblr community LOL! It's absurd, once again, this isn't their content to claim!
So, my test is this, to play nice or tell them where to go! The old me would tell them where to go but the new me should play nice. If you're in someone else's house you go by their rules if you want to stay in it, right? The thing is, it's not a rule, it's amongst Tumblr user etiquette... hmmm....
To Play Nice OR Not To Play Nice?
STATUS UPDATE! I decided to play nice, and I deleted the post. THERE ARE NO "STOLEN" GIFS OR POSTS ON MY BLOG! People can change. We Are Who We Choose To Be!

Love how that girl who is holding her legs is so unabashedly enjoying the view this affords her ;)
(that refers to the original picture, which had a second girl watching...
spankingwishes (deactivated)
I managed to salvage this post from the wreck of losing SpankingWishes - The Original...
My roommates are of two minds when it comes to spankings - or at least when it comes to spanking me… Caitlin, who prefers to be on the receiving end, ‘doesn’t like to overdo’ - that is, she doesn’t want it to hurt excessively, even though I’ve been spanked like that plenty of times before…she prefers to focus on the anticipation, the embarrassment, the admission.
Some examples - she likes to use the uber-intimate ‘wheelbarrow’ position that makes it impossible to deny my wetness… (especially because she uses her hand...)
and in the corner, she either makes me face outward, hands on my head, revealing my flat chest and the part of me referred to as my ‘privates’ - because that’s what it should be!
Not to mention ‘unexpected guests’ just when I’m sporting a bright red or way-too-tender behind (usually not of her doing)!
Allie is just the opposite - she is evil!
Always wanting to do something completely unbearable, like the slipper on my inner thighs (especially when Cait has me in that damned wheelbarrow position!). Allie doesn’t think twice about smacking me with the martinet (I suffer from martinetphobia) all along my thighs and bottom, the tiny tail-tips nipping at me here, there, and everywhere!
"Those shorts will have to come off..." Allie would say... "They're too confining." Heaven forbid I should keep my legs together!
The one love they share is teasing me about it mercilessly for weeks (long enough that comments about my last two spankings often overlap!).
So if you put the two of them together, even without the real dominants in our lives (my lover, Cait’s advisor, Allie’s disciplinarian) you can get (or I can get) some smackerings that are not only painful but absolutely shaming!
This is my mug shot.
