Do Ash/Leon/Raihan ever adopt any children? I can only imagine how they turned out if they did
They do! They adopt two little girls named Minty and Cadenza and a little boy named Mikey!!!
Minty is from a run down Unova adoption center that was being shut down because of a lot of health code violations and Ash stumbled across it while talking to Raihan and Leon about the exact subject of adoption and where they would adopt and when. She was adopted on the whim when Ash first saw her, wearing the most ragged clothes out of 3 other children and covered in dirt that hid her many freckles until after her first shower, she was 5 years old and shares the same birthday as Ash as well!
Minty was given up for adoption immediately after birth and was named after her mint green eyes that almost flowed in certain light. Red tight curly hair like Raihans black hair and she had more freckles then Ash which is saying something because Ash is covered in them. She’s very shy, even after getting to know her three new dads.
For the sake of adoption paperwork only Ash and Raihan are her “real” dads while Leon is her Godfather. Though all three are her dads.
Cadenza was found in Kalos while Leon and Ash were on Champion business trip for some over seas meeting. They wanted to go to a hole in the wall breakfast joint and Cadenza walked in with what little money she’s saved up over the month for a hot chocolate since it was a very cold winter morning.
The nice lady taking her order apparently knows her enough to ask about how the Adoption process was going and if anyone had taken a look into her case file. Cadenza stated that none would even look in her direction because of how her parents were drug dealers and also on the fact that she’s a drug baby.
Ash and Leon shared a long look and talked to Raihan over the phone while trying to find all the adoption centers in Lumiose city. Leon and Ash soon found Cadenza at yet another run down adoption center where she was the oldest, 6 years old, out of 39 kids. They spent some time with her, without divulging who they were at the time, and felt the pull and connection. They adopted her later that week after taking her on a few lunch dates to get to know her more and talk about their own life and little Minty who they adopted not even 3 months ago.
Cadenza also has red curly hair, though not as tight as Minty’s and Raihans but more like Ashms lose curls, and golden eyes like Leon’s. Lanky and dark skin like Leon and Raihan as.
Ash wasn’t with Leon and Raihan when they made a visit to the adoption center in Motostoke along with Milo and Kabu. More of a publicity stunt the other chairmen’s pressed Leon into doing but he and the others took it full heartedly to spread much needed joy and love.
Mikey hung back, being the smallest and one of the youngest out of 70 all boys, that is until Raihans Flygon had spotted him and made her way over. He had actually flinched when the large green dragon ambled over, caught of guard and definitely scared. Though that didn’t deter Flygon and she refused to leave his side since Minty and Cadenza were afraid of her before growing to adore and love Flygon.
It was Kabu who noticed what was happening and made it awear to Raihan. After watching from a distance as Flygon tried to show Mikey how to put her with her hands and Mikey flinching away he finally made his way over. The small boy had clung to Raihan on instinct and hid behind his back when Raihan crouched down. It took some coaxing and Mikey ended up in his lap while watching with a bit of anxiety as Flygon cooed and purred while rubbing her head into Raihans outstretched hand.
Raihan felt his heart hurt when even smaller Pokémon like Scorbunny and Yampers freaked the kid out. It took some questioning and Leon to gently pull his weight as head chairman to find out that Mikey’s old parents used to threaten him that they would use their bigger Pokémon on him if Mikey didn’t behave. This broke Raihan and Leon’s heart so much and they ended up calling Ash, who was in Alola at the time, and eventually started crying over the thought of how horrid and his parents were.
Minty and Cadenza had overheard the call and came bounding into their room. Demanding to meet the boy and immediately gained a connection with him after Leon was able to set up a lunch date with the mind of adopting the boy. Ash had given the go on it and had openly cooed and awwed over the files they sent him.
Mikey looked like a direct copy of Ash. Big brown fearful Bambi eyes and loose curly black hair, less freckles then both Cadenza and Minty, and the same body build as well. Being 5 and a half which put him in the middle of Cadenza and Minty.
He was adopted later that month, on his birthday actually which is October 31st, and was taken trick or treating for the first time alongside the two girls. Ash had joined them and Mikey had fallen in love with Pikachu. The mouse Pokémon purring so hard when the three adults found him, Mikey, and the girls cuddle up on the couch passed out with a child’s Halloween movie playing. He soon was following Ash everywhere and gotten the nickname ‘Little Shadow’ for it.
The only reason why Mikey’s adoption process lasted longer then the girls is because of Galar’s process being different and with Leon’s chairman position because people originally thought that adopting Mikey was a political ploy. Them ignore the fact that Leon already had two little girls.
