You unmanageable, contrary creature. You have made me believe in something at last. It feels as wretched as I imagined.

I Will Judge You By Your Bookshelf by Grant Snider

The quote: I confess: I'm in love with books. I read in social situations. I will use anything as a bookmark. I confuse fiction with reality. I am wanted for unpaid library fines. I steal books from my children. I like my realism with a little bit of magic. I like to sniff old books. I am searching for a miracle cure for writer's block. I care about punctuation — a lot. I will read the classics (someday). I am writing The Great American Novel. I carry a notebook with me at all times. I write because I must. I hope you don't mind me asking...
can I borrow a few books? — Greg Snider

“They say Hades is protective of his realm, and while that is true, it isn’t about power. He cares for his people, protects them, and he takes it personally if anyone is harmed. If you belong to him, he will tear the world apart to save you.”

oml i cannot say enough about the book i just finished! shirley (by my girl charlotte brontë) was simply wonderful.. i can't believe how amazing the writing was and how much i loved all of the characters. all i want now is to be caroline helstone. i do believe this may be one of my new favorite books. in other news, i finally finished my penpal letter so hopefully that will start it's journey soon! (it's mystery themed XD) i'm once again contemplating starting a youtube channel... but idk i feel like i'd get too lazy with it hmm.

I love Howl's Moving Castle by Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli, so I decided to start off 2021 by reading the book that the movie was based on. I've never read Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones before and I'm so excited!
