Yanderes x Gamer! Reader
(wasn't requested, but i need more love for gamer readers!! P.S: Reader mostly plays Overwatch or other shooting games, plus nintendo) (srry)
Characters: Jacob Alden (LFL), Peter (YB), John Doe
Jacob Alden
he's not particularly keen on playing them himself, but he happily watches you play. at first.
he mostly sees you playing Overwatch or Fortnite, or well, it could be any shooting game, but he wouldn't know the name if it wasn't those two.
you two aren't dating yet, he just watches from the cameras he installed, or from the window.. or a corner of your room. any is good.
But he soon starts wanting more, so he installs the game you play. He practices, and eventually, you receive a random friend request from someone.
if you accept it, he joins your party and literally just focuses on healing and supporting you. Imagine a determined pocket mercy. He seriously won't heal or help any other teammates. You're not complaining, though. You don't know it's him yet, but you do know it's a free pocket, so you're happy.
If you decline it, he'll keep sending them. not excessively, but you end up accepting them just to cut off the requests that appear every day.
he does literally only rlly play Mercy, but he likes Zenyatta too. He only plays Supports and dps.
once you're dating, he reveals that it was him. You guys play together as often as before, only now he heals others when you bug him about it.
he sees you playing Animal Crossing or anything on a Nintendo? he's sitting with you and watching you play. He won't buy a whole gaming console just to play some little game with you, but he's happily gonna watch and learn some tips to give you about the game.
will play for you if you need to do something else or just get tired. anything to make you happy
he's the best at listening to you get mad about the enemy or a shit teammate. Complaining to him is wonderful because he instantly agrees. He's just naturally on your side.
if his compliments havent already inflated your ego, then his constant praises and gushing will. He thinks you're the best player he's ever bared witness to.
Your Boyfriend
He already plays video games, unlike the others here, so when he finds out you do too, he finds you online and friends you on like, everything. on the actual console, in the game. Any way to make you wanna play with him.
he has a stupidly high rank as Soldier 76 in Overwatch. Whenever you guys play together though, he gives you his Biotic field.
in any other game, he's more defensive than a healer. yes, he'll give you heals over him, but since he has more experience than.. Jacob, He grabs the more powerful weapons and takes the role of guardian.
He glazes you so hard, though. You could be disgusting at the game and he'd still say you were amazing.
he plays mario kart and zelda, and he happily plays Mario Kart with you. he does secretly let you win sometimes. Otherwise, he usually wins and coos to calm you down whilst rubbing your hair.
Like Jacob, most of the time he watches you play Animal Crossing instead of playing with you. it's a game he completed a while ago so he dropped it. But every now and then, he visits your island with tons of Bells and items for you. He loves seeing you succeed, and you're sweet smile and thank you's are enough to make him fall for you all over again.
Complains with you about bad teammates or annoying enemies, instead of just listening and agreeing. Bro gets heated.
John Doe
Unlike the other two, he doesn't even really touch video games. He kinda thinks their pointless at first.
Since he kinda glues himself to you not long after your first few interactions, he doesn't bother with friending you online.
He's strange with it. But he's strange in general.
Whenever you play, he stares creepily at the screen, his interest piqued by all thats happening in the screen.
Whilst he doesn't feel heavily emotionally affected by the games, whenever you win or achieve something he chirps happily and nuzzles your neck.
now he thinks video games are okay. still weird, but not pointless.
he won't play any with you, but he, like Jacob, watches you play. His head tilts when you do stuff he isnt familiar with, he almost doesnt blink since he doesn't wanna miss anything.
when it comes to complaining, he's almost amused by how heated you get during these games. Don't get too angry though, otherwise you'll actually frighten him. Then you've gotta deal with that. just.. dont hit anything.
grosser part here, but whenever you stress over it and you sweat from the panic of nervousness or focus, he starts rubbing his head against you like a cat, suddenly he's all over you to catch the scent of your body odour.
can you guys tell Jacob is my favourite..? lol
